I felt like making a similar thread, but it'd be rather redundant with someone asking the same question. I'm new to this too. I've played some roleplaying games, but it was mostly casual. This is something new to me entirely. Anyone got a small-ish list/tutorial or something? Or some veteran willing to share his wisdom?

If your wondering about Play By Post games (which I expect is whats up, cause the forum rules are all over the place and easy to find), just check out the finding players thread. Every so often a game for new players will pop up, and if it doesn't, you could start one yourself. I'm sure one of our veteran DMs, and probably a few veteran players, would be more than happy to help you with anything you need, from making characters, to how to RP, to learning the rules
