Alright, my class is going to be doing a debate for our 'final' grade. ManPerson is probably also posting a thread on this as well.
I haven't ever done a debate like this before, so I'd like advice on how to do this well, along with how to find/organize my information. My topic is the selection of Andrew Johnson by Lincoln. If you know any good places to look, tell me, but for the most part I'd like advice on the debate itself.
The structure is as follows:
Speaker 1(A): 90 seconds
Speaker 1(B): 90 seconds
Speaker 2(A): 90 seconds
Speaker 2(B): 90 seconds
A-to-B questioning: 4 min(2 either way)
Final 1(A): 30 seconds
Final 2(B): 30 seconds
Prep time: 1 minute between rounds(optional)
I'm not sure how my group will fit into this(3-person group, only in the class), but my partners won't be much help. They're doing their best, but this just isn't their thing.
