Is there a comprehensive list of creatures that can be familiars anywhere on the internet?

There's a pretty nice list here (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19870010/The_Familiars_Handbook_--_2007). Don't know if that's all of them, but it's at least a good start.

IIRC, you list of familairs without the Improved Familiar feat are: Animals with fractional HD <= Size Tiny.

Yeah, and depending on which version of Improved Familiar you take (Cause it seems every splatbook has one) you can get some pretty interesting monster familiars. Or, if you take Planar Familiar, you can get a planar creature.

You can get the same result from Improved Familiar, unless you want the celestial creatures that require CL 7.
