If it's possible for the island to unsink, it's possible for Sam to get his sickle back. Heck, he could just outlast the sharks and swim if he has to.

This is why refs are so reluctant to do spot checks Sinking Island.

Ok, Sam's at +15 ft. Lance is at +60ft. They are 40ft horizontally apart. Any LoS would have to pass through T/U-12. The cliff edge is at least 20 ft high, possible higher. This means that for Lance to see Sam he'd have to be at at least... at elevation 65.

Worst case the cliff edge is 25ft elevation.

With Sam at +15 lance would need to be at (25 + 10per 5ft horizantal separating space). At 65 ft elevation Lance most approach within (65-25) /10 = 4 squares to see Sam. This occurs when Lance reaches Q-15.

Rewind back to Lance Round 3.

LoS established when Lance reaches Q15/+65 as he runs towards S16/+70.
Sam Jones Jr is in U12.

Lance may end at Q15 or on his run path however far he wishes.
