I just saw an ad on Kids WB for a new full-length feature film called Superman: Brainiac Attacks. Does anyone know anything about it? It looks like the Timm/Dini type of animated adventure.

It isn't. They just used the Timm designs to save time and money. Generally, the same people who produce the new Batman cartoon with reggae-Joker are responsible for Brainiac Attacks, so if you like The Batman you might like S:BA

Oh, that's good bad. I'm not a big fan of The Batman. It seems designed more for the kiddies. Thanks for the information.

'The Batman' is like God's curse to a sinful world. If it's associated with that heap, it's garbage.

Two reviews (http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/superman/reviews/brainiacattacks/)
DVD review (http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/superman/releases/dvd/brainiacattacks/)
Capizzi interview (http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/WF/superman/backstage/interviews/capizzi.php)

From the sound of it all, I'm just going to stay away and not tarnish the current love I have for the Timm Superman series.

All found at World's Finest (http://www.worldsfinestonline.com/main.php) the most comprehensive site on the DCAU that I know exists.

Me too.

Brainiac Attacks was awesome. It had nothing on S:TAS but it's not really as bad as people made it seem. After reading the reviews, I expected something along the lines of Manos: Hands of Fate or Batman & Robin.

Yeah, it was out of continuity but it wasn't meant to be in anyway.

I love Superman too, but I think I'll put acquiring this on the back burner. There are many other thingst that sound better to get first.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone!

Hey, Manos: The Hands of Fate was so bad that even Joel and the robots couldn't make it funny! The best they could come up with was, "well, Manos, the Hands of Fate." I tried that line with my girlfriend of the time, but she hated it so much she got pissed at my even using the line making fun of the movie! :D

Manos was funny. that's one of my favorite epesoids, though it really picks up when they meet Torgo.
