Well, if DC truly wanted to "capture the fun of older comics" and tell stories from "the earlier, more adventurous days of our heroes' careers," I'd say hiring Mr. Sin City was their first mistake. Unless "older" means "1980's" and "more adventurous" means "dark and disturbing" :P

Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt.
Literally, they put out a T-Shirt with the Archie-Skull on it, and I bought one. I think I still have it stuffed into the bottom of a drawer. And it really was pretty good.
