We are playing Savage species campaign and I am starting with lvl 1 succubus w. alternate form ability. Since I can reform my succubus into only one creature, I would ask for some suggestions regarding what should I be able to reshape my sexi vixen in? Munchkiness much appreciated.

Humanoids only.

The obvious choice for RP purposes would be dictated by what races are locally both common and diverse enough for her not to stand out - so human would often be a good bet. Changeling would also be a very suitable fit, since it would allow her to disguise herself as lots of other people, as well as requiring multiple levels of unmasking. Or, maybe, you could go for a race with a very strong reputation in the setting for honourable behaviour etc (lesser Aasimaar could be entertaining).

Of course, if you just want to hit things, go for a water orc.

Humanoids arn't very Munchkinny I'm afraid.
You should check out the list DnD3.5Index-Monsters-byCR.pdf on the Crystal Keep.

Are you limited by subtype ?
What Sourcebooks can you use ?

Obvious choices are
Changeling Humanoid-Shapechanger
Shifter Humanoid-Shapechanger

Lizardfolk or Troglodyte for Nat Armour and Claw/Claw/Bite

Raptorian for flight

Various Aquatics.

Size Large is possible, though there arn't many choices

Various Lycanthropes

Either of the Giths

She should turn into an actual munchkin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munchkin).

Constrictor Naga are listed as humanoids, and are of huge size. Take Improved Grapple as a feat and enjoy.

Further suggestion: make the alternate form male, to be doubly sure that you throw people off.

And just to make the further munchkinish suggestion: Whisper gnome. Or some kind of over-templated-but-still-humanoid monstrosity (I don't think either the "winged" or "feral" templates alter your type, although they might make your DM throw books at you).

Important question - What are you normally going to be doing? Are you a caster or melee?

Succubus class is 10 level, so he can be somethig only after that level.

I suggest Aasimar or human. In terms of roleplaying it will help you alot. Remember that you'll be in alternate form most of the time and you will probably play the role of party's speaker. A troglodyte would be very unpleasant to show and so hinder your bluff/diplomacy etc.

How about a Doppelganger?

How about a Doppelganger?With alternate form you gain Special Attacks but not Special Qualities.

The Master of Many Forms Bible (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19528526/updated_Master_of_Many_Forms_Bible__official_wild_ shape_rules) is a good resource, which has come in handy for a silver dragon character I'm playing.

- bug bear (MM, adventuring): While nothing special, bugbear form may nevertheless be interesting if your natural attributes are very low. medium humaniod, 15str, 12dex, 13con

- crucian(SaS; combat): humanoid with great natural armor of +8. Medium humanoid, 15str, 8dex, 17con, 8 natural armor

- dark stalker (FF; adventuring/combat): Nice stats and +3d6 sneak attack make this both a good combat as well as adventuring form. medium humanoid, 14str, 17dex, 13con, 2 natural armor, poison use, sneak attack 3d6;

- gnoll, flind (MM3, adventuring): Nothing special, but strength 17 is nice as a starting adventuring form. medium humanoid, 17str, 12dex, 15con, 2 natural armor;

- merfolk (MM, special ability): Merfolk breathe underwater and have a swim speed of 50 while still being humanoid. Medium humanoid, 13str, 13dex, 14con, aqzuatic subtype;

- phaerlock (UD, adventuring/combat): While nothing special, this form offers a natural armor of +7. Medium humanoid, 15str, 10dex, 14con, 7 natural armor;

- tren (Serpent Kingdoms, combat. Thanks Iku Rex). OK beginners combat form, although the stench ability will be problematic with your comrades. And aquatic with 40' swim speed. medium aquatic humanoid, 15str, 13dex, 14con, 8 natural armor, stench;

- varag (MM4, adventuring/combat/special ability): The varag offers an acceptible allround package with great speed and acceptable stats.
Medium humanoid, 15str, 15dex, 13con, 3 natural armor, speed 60 ft.;

The Oriental Adventures Web Errata (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/OAWeberrata_02062006.zip) did not change their type, but the Oriental Adventures 3.5 Update in Dragon #318 did change all the naga to monstrous humanoids. Check with your DM if he considers the article in Dragon #318 to take precedence over the web errata.

The only official humanoid in print that's larger than medium are Hornhead Saurials in the Serpent Kingdoms Web Enhancement (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/Serpent_Kingdoms_WE.zip).

Because of how irritating Dragon Issues could be to get a hold of, I've not once found a DM who decided that Dragon 'errata'd' anything by mere virtue of having been published.
