So I was hanging out with some friends a little while ago, and we were discussing cosplay. We didn't really get into it, but it had me wondering - I wonder who can play who, including myself. But then why not share it over here? Who do you think people in the playground can be just by their picture?

My girlfriend has told me I'd make a good Miroku from InuYasha when my hair is long enough for a pony tail. I think I could pull that off, and she's even said she'd cosplay InuYasha so we could raise WTF flags. :smallbiggrin: We've also thought about Alucard, but I don't have the facial structure, IMO...

Right now, though, we're tossing around the idea of myself, my girlfriend, and my best friend teaming up for a group Hellsing cosplay. My GF could grow out her hair and be Rip Van Winkle, I could dye my hair white and get a trench coat to play The Captain, and my buddy would need a white suit and longer hair to be The Major. But if we could pull it off... it'd be sweet. :smallcool:


I'd love to cosplay an Imperial Commissar, since Nerf makes a very bolt pistol-esque handgun and my GF has a black trench coat. Plus, I have a fancy antique sabre, though real weapons aren't allowed of course. :smalltongue: But Commissar hats and/or peaked caps are not easy to find or cheap... :smalleek:

I think I could probably pull of Captain Taylor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Irresponsible_Captain_Tylor). I'm a little over weight, and I think the clothes would mask it well. However, I also have long hair. Maybe I just don't watch enough anime to know who I could do.

Perhaps others here watch more than me? (Who am I kidding, you watch more than I)

I'm 5'10" ~240#s. Gives me a rather round belly. I've got a round face and long brown hair that goes past my shoulder blades. Glasses, and contacts (not at the same time, just... you know)

Hard to say. I've got a pretty unique face shape, so it's hard for me to pull off cosplay. That, and I've never really tried it before.

I've been told I have Klingon hair, so possibly as a Klingon lady. Although I don't have the build for it. I have also been told my hair is like a Pirate's, so a pirate girlie could be done too.

I've cosplayed Kyon (you know the one) once before, see picture in spoiler (had to dye my hair), and I've considered cosplaying Oz Bezarius and Battler Ushiromiya on several occasions; for the former I'm too old, however, and for the latter I'd have to dye my hair red, something I'm reluctant of doing, as I hate wigs. :smallbiggrin:

A) I hate how they did Rorschach's voice in the movie. The comic makes no mention of his voice sounding like a guy smoked 8 packs of cigarettes a day starting at age 12.

B) A friend of mine whose over 6 ft tall went as Rorschach for Halloween two years ago.
