Well, I was looking at the Tome and Blood, and saw a PrC.

Blood Magus: his first characteristic is Blood Component: You pinch yourself, and cause yourself some damage. (Max 23HP for 750+GP)
The requisites are being able to cast Arcane Lvl-3 and having been dead for a while.

I was thinking, a Mystic Theurge who hits 5lvl ckeric spells, would be able to Free-Resurrect with this? You know. "I HEAL myself, next, I pinch myself and raise my friends. Next, I heal myself again"

Note that Tome and Blood is a 3.0 book. Blood Magus was updated for 3.5 in Complete Mage, I believe. Not sure if that ability carried over.

If a spell has a costly material component (greater than 1 gp), the component must still be provided. If a spell has no material component, a blood magus can still use this ability to enhance a spell if he desires.

From the 3.5 version.

I always heard you could just stuff all the bits of the dead PC into a Bag of Holding, pour in several healing potions, shake it up and dump out a now-alive PC.

Reincarnate is the poor man's resurrection.

Slammed with the nerfbat. The 3.5 BM can only supply blood in exchange for non-costly components now. (Basically, Blood Component is a free Eschew Materials.)

However, doing so does increase the spell's CL by 1.

Unfortunately no, because the cure spells that potions are based on specify "living creatures" as the target.

Last Breath, level 5 druid spell. Cast it on a friend that died 1 round before and it will reincarnate him with no level loss at only 500 GP cost (the normal reicarnate costs 1000 GP and you lose a level, but is one level lower).

Lesser Planar Binding (plus associated safety spells). Summon a Hollyphant, get it to use it's Raise Dead ability.

Cast Revenance (4th level cleric spell, Spell Compendium) wait for duration to end and then cast Revivify (5th level cleric, Spell Compendium). Basically Raise Dead with no level/spell loss and only costing 1000gp.

Be a monstrous race that can cast cleric spells as part of its racial HD (ie, drider, dragon (cast spells from cleric list as sorcerer spells) etc), and they won't need material components for any of that class's spells, so you could even cast true resurrection, or favorable sacrifice (level 2 uberspell with 10,000g price tag) for free all you want.

+1 if you still charge everyone as if you were paying out the nose.

Just because you cast them as Sorcerer spells, doesn't mean they don't still have material components.

SLAs don't have material components.
