The air surrounding you fairly hums with the residue of magic, an aftereffect of the spell that brought you to this place. A quick glance reveals that you are in a small room, devoid of any life save for yourself. The sound of dripping water can be heard faintly, and the stone walls are slick with moisture. In complete defiance of logic, a torch is already lit, resting in a sconce near the room's single door.

There is a door at C-4, south side.

Well then, I guess I'm off Fishy will say, making his way to the nearest door, forgoing the torch on the wall for the magical one attached to his backpack.

You reach the door and open it to see corridors heading south and east.

The south corridor has a branch going east before ending in a T-junction about 30 feet down.

The east corridor hits a 4-way intersection after 10 feet, then continues east beyond the limit of your vision. About 20 feet past the intersection, set into the north wall, is a door.

I guess I should bring the light to the darkness thinks Fishy, groaning slightly at his inadvertent pun as he heads east into the darkness

You head east, pass an intersection, and the ground crumbles from underneath you as you hit a pit trap.

Reflex save, DC 15.

You jump back from the pit trap just in time. Looking down, you can see that it's 20 feet deep.

The door is 10 feet beyond the pit. The pit is only 5' wide, so you can jump it easily enough.

Seems a little old school to me Fishy will think to himself, getting a running start and jumping the pit (taking 10). He will then approach the door and search it for traps

Well, let's see what's on the other side of the door Fishy will think to himself as he draws his Guisarme, holding it in one hand while opening the door with his other.

Opening the door reveals the following room:

There are doors at A5 south and E1 north.
In the room there is an ugly looking, blue scaled, lizard thing with fire in it's mouth!

You're outside the door at A5.

Of course Fishy thought to himself as he readied his Guisarme and prepared for battle

Catching the creature slightly off guard, Fishy charges the creature with a fierce cry as his blade glows with a holy light

Attacking with my Guisarme and smiting Evil. Also going to roll Sudden Strike becasue the creature has yet to act in combat so I assume it is flat footed

Add 1 Damage if the creature is evil for the smite

-2 to that attack above
I would move to square C1 if I came in the North, C5 if I came in the south, and then attack normally

Disregard previous post.

With the extra damage from the Sudden Strike, he dies.

You gain 150 XP and a suit of chainmail.

Thank Kord I got the drop on it, or else I'd have literally been toast Fishy says, leaving the chainmail where it lies. It is too heavy for me to lug around this place anyway he thinks to himself as he heads for the door he didn't enter (I'm not sure which direction that is).

Saph
2010-05-30, 05:09 PM
Well, like I said, you entered at A5, so that only leaves one.

You open the door in the north wall and peek out. You're looking down an east-west corridor. To the west it runs a long way with multiple side passages; to the east it runs only 20' before turning south. There's a door in the corner.

Falconknight06
2010-05-30, 05:16 PM
Well, let's see how well my luck holds up Fishy will think to himself as he heads towards the door to the east.

You reach the door.

You find no traps.

You hear nothing.

Same drill I guess Fishy thinks to himself, gripping his Guisarme in his right hand as he opens the door

Are you searching the note, or the chest, or the squares leading up to it? You have to specify a 5-foot square.

Falconknight06
2010-05-30, 05:34 PM
I was trying to search every five foot square between me and the note, then the note, then the chest if possible.

Saph
2010-05-30, 05:38 PM
OK. You work your way up to the note and the chest and find no traps.

Falconknight06
2010-05-30, 05:40 PM
Seems safe enough Fishy will think to himself as he begins to read the note

Falconknight06

Oh good, I was afraid the note would be straightforward Fishy thinks to himself. Well, I guess I should try to find out what is in this chest he thinks as he tries to open the chest

Saph
2010-05-30, 05:46 PM
You open the giant chest to see one platinum piece.

Falconknight06
2010-05-30, 05:51 PM
Wow, that is not insignificant actually Fishy will say completely seriously. He will pocket the platinum piece and head towards the door at D1 and

East-west corridor, with a red and white bullseye painted on the floor directly outside it.

Falconknight06
2010-05-30, 05:58 PM
Ooookay Fishy will think to himself, moving his Guisarme to grip the head and poking the center of the bullseye with the butt of his weapon (kind of like a 10 ft. pole)

Saph
2010-05-30, 05:59 PM
The bullseye is poked.

Falconknight06
2010-05-31, 08:12 PM
Apparently that bullseye is not in fact an overly obvious trap. I guess I should continue on. Just to be safe though... Fishy will say to himself as he jumps over the bullseye and continues down the passage way.

Saph
2010-06-01, 09:12 AM
Where are you going?

Falconknight06
2010-06-01, 03:02 PM
I'm going down the hall, past the bullseye, away from the room where the chest with the platinum piece was. I think it is to the East.

Saph
2010-06-01, 03:14 PM
You just walked out of that room, so any direction is "away". I was really looking for "east or west". You said East, so I'll take that.

You go east. The corridor turns south.

After 10 feet, you come to a T-junction. On the wall to the west is a door leading back into the chest room. You can go east (where the corridor then bends north) or south (where the corridor then bends east).

Falconknight06
2010-06-01, 04:56 PM
I'll go to the East

Saph
2010-06-01, 04:58 PM
It leads into a maze of passages. Several different passages lead north. To the east is a door.

Falconknight06
2010-06-01, 05:34 PM
Another door? Well, might as well check it out Fishy thinks to himself as he begins his almost habit like routine at doors in this place
