My favorite metal t-shirt to wear to shows is a DIY Motorhead shirt that just says, "Motorhead" on it.

Simple is metal. It doesn't have all of that fruity, winged batskull crap.

Those are pretty horrible looking really.

It's all about British Sea Power shurts! Particularly Heron Addict. Simpler designs tend to look an awful awful lot better on t-shirts. They're going to fold up anyway, so the designs need to be bold and large, not intricate and busy.

Since I'm not a fat old biker I really don't think I could pull off shirts like that :smallfrown:

I've always been a fan of shirts with some sort of artwork on them, particularly album art. Shirt's which just have the name of the band on them are a bit boring IMHO. I recommend the shirts on Catacombs CDs.

I don't even like the way that looks on a computer screen. Can't even imagine putting it on.

Solid colors, ftw!11!1

I like a plain logo shirt or something with a bit of art on it, but not the all-over shirts. I don't even like long-sleeve shirts or hoodies if they have stuff on the sleeves.

i don't like being a walking billboard. the art can be elaborate, but i find flashy obnoxious.

Way, way too much. It's... inelegant.

It's like a giant tattoo. On a shirt. I guess if you like giant shirt-tattoos they're nice?

They work for some bands, but not others. For instance, I have a flyleaf t-shirt with an all over design. However, it is much more subtle than that, and I like it.

Usually though, I prefer the album art Ts. A sublime shirt with just the sun on it, a RHCP with their asterisk looking thing, A Green Day shirt with the heart grenade. If you have album art that is simply a design that goes off the edges though, it could probably be put on a shirt like the ones in the OP though.

I like my shirts with elaborate designs, the more complicated the better. I recently got this shirt (http://merchlandshop.com/index.php?sid=d1e99206c9d1d8b3f1091bcf1e5125c1&cl=details&cnid=hu8488e4b53a2cae1.63558581&anid=vju4b8ba9d7401cd0.85692621), and it's one of my favorites. At the very least, I need some nice art that isn't torn straight off the album.

I take this back. I'd be fine wearing this (http://store.theworstpageintheuniverse.com/shirts.html#CIVILBLACKRED) shirt from time to time.

That's kinda like what I was talking about with my Flyleaf shirt. It's all over, but it's more subdue than the OP's post.
