Just for fun, what would a scientist class be like? I realize that a nonmagical class in a world of magic may seem a bit silly, but I think it could work.
How would you make this?

Well, for fluff, you need not actually remove the magic: you need only be able to repeat results with some form of explanation.

As such, without creating a new class, wizards, archivists, some clerics, and artificers could be seen as the most "sciencey" classes around. However, I don't think that's what you were looking for, but rather a more "SCIENCE!" class with death rays and jetpacks. To that end, I'd do a quick forum search for the engineer base class someone made a while back.

You could easily adapt this class (http://www.d20resources.com/modern.d20.srd/classes/advanced/field.scientist.php), from d20 modern.

Or you could re-flavour the Artificer.

Try This (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6332557&postcount=33) it's quite good.

d20 Modern: Past has this as an advanced class. It wouldn't be too hard to convert that to a full 20-level class.

When I think 'scientist' in a magic-heavy setting, I usually think of alchemists. If it isn't there already, an alchemist class/prestige class would be pretty interesting.
