So yeah, Deadly Premonition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadly_Premonition). Anybody here about it, or play it?

Deadly Premonition... isn't Spoony doing a LP (http://spoonyexperiment.com/2010/05/26/lets-play-deadly-premonition-episode-1/) of that? Looked pretty damn funny in its goofyness.

This is all I know about the game as well. Looks perfect for a Let's Play - seems quite thoroughly mockable. Too bad Spoony has so much he's doing right now that it'll likely be extremely slow to update.

You could always watch the endurance runs on Giant Bomb (http://www.giantbomb.com/deadly-premonition/61-29212/videos/)! (which, weirdly enough, have two entire runs).

So yeah, Deadly Premonition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadly_Premonition). Anybody here about it, or play it?I played and beat it. It's good. The combat can be iffy and I'd recommend playing it through on Easy the first time - difficulty just ramps up enemy HP, and they're already pretty sturdy on Easy. But all the little things, like blinkers on your car, conversations York has with himself, dozens of available sidequests, etc add up to make the gameplay itself an enjoyable experience. And the story is amazing. It goes off the deep end towards the end, but that's part of what makes it so great.

The game has character. Lots of games nowadays simply... don't. Who wants to play yet another dull, tired retread of "space marines shoot space aliens until they die"? Deadly Premonition is a game where you play as an FBI Special Agent with an imaginary friend named Zach and no ability to recognize what is and is not appropriate dinner conversation. You are on a quest to solve a series of murders connected to these "red seeds," and zombies seem to pop out of the ground constantly. The game mixes its supernatural and real elements in a great way that keeps you wondering what the **** is going on the whole game. I cared about the characters, and when I finished I felt kind of like I was saying goodbye to a friend.

And for $20 new, can you really afford not to buy it?
