I mean, I've heard of this little supplement by Goodman Games, but what's in it? What is it's setting, it's variant rules it's quality?

According to Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Amethyst-Foundations-RPG-Goodman-Games/dp/B003MSZMCI/ref=pd_sim_sbs_b_1), it's sort of kind of a Shadowrun type setting where magicv and fantasy come back to the real world.

Can't tell you much beyond that, sorry.

Based off that description I hope they get sued.

By who? Shadowrun?

Shadowrun-like. Just going off the description, it takes place in the modern day, has no cyberpunk, and is basically modern world + magic.

From what I saw of it the last time there was a thread about it, it was more like: Near-Future vs Magic. So, yeah.

Right, because it's never been done by anyone but Shadowrun.

*gasp* You're right! Square Enix should be sued for that idea, too! And J.K. Rowling, for having a tangentially similar concept!

In other news, people have suggested suing Terry Pratchett for plagiarism, because his books contain a wizard school just like in Harry Potter. Oh noes!

(this despite the fact that he has been writing over a decade before Rowling started...)

Does anybody know the general quality of it? I'm always interested in different settings for things, and I've got a lot of other 4e material sitting around, does it mesh well with officially published stuff?
