The tavern is crowded as usual, assorted locals and passers through combining into a big drunken mess.

As the bar woman brings the next round to your table there is a scroll tied with a blue ribbon on the tray, and she gives you a knowing nod; she is the contact you've been waiting on fro the Thieves Guild.

As one of you opens it you see a simple handwritten message:

--------------------------------------------------
Fourth building at the North end of Gulliver Street.
The tunnel is in their basement.
Once you're in the warehouse find the Eye and
return it to us at the arranged place.
Payment on delivery, as agreed.

- Xartek
--------------------------------------------------

Eli ducks as a mug gets thrown across the room (not at him, just near him) and a cheer erupts from across the bar.

Locklear

Regdar stands and casts flare across the bar in front of the person that threw the mug in order to show him who he's messing with. He then downs his drink, turns to his friends and says, "Come on, lets go!" and leaves the bar.

It would seem I've got magenta! Also, Vs becoming drunk if we're doing that, (assuming this is standard ale: DC 11) [roll0]

The guy collapses back in his chair, and one of his friends is restrained amongst mutters of "he's not worth it" and "leave it alone".

Eli raises an eyebrow at Durkon, wondering if the guy was always so hasty. After folding and putting the message away, he leans over to Durkon and speaks in a low voice, "Must we be distracted by this? I'd prefer to waste no time with this job. More time for fun, later. But, while we're here..." He looks around for the guy that was the intended target of the thrown mug, in the first place. Spot, if required ---> [roll0] Upon spotting him, he shakes his head sympathetically and jibes, "And you're letting him get away with that?" If he can't find the guy, or if it looks as if the guy had merely been throwing things around, he'll just shrug and head out.

Inside you see the man has slumped to one side. Either he's dead or magically unconscious, an ice spell to the side tends to wake people up.

There is no one else in the room (which is about 10ft x 15ft), the desk is oak with the usual desk stuff on it. The chair is red velvet and the floor is polished light-wood. There is a closed door to your left and only the window you just came through. There is an oil lamp on the wall, lit but dimmed.

TruorTupnm

Eli hops through the window and closes it again. Seeing the slumped man, he rushes over to check if the guy is dead or just unconscious. If he's dead, he'll leave him, but if he's unconscious, he'll ask the others if they have something to tie the guy up with. Either way, he'll search the room, concentrating on the desk.
