Just picked up Manual of the Planes, not realizing that it was 3.0 and not 3.5. *shrug* Ah well. Easy enough to adapt. The only thing I'm curious about at the moment is:

What does DR 5/+1 (and similar DR setups) mean?

It means you have to have a +1 weapon to overcome the DR. So it translates to DR X/magic. The same is not true when you go up to higher levels of DR. These typically added some type of special material based on type. I cannot access the WotC site at work, but there are conversion documents on there that will help guide you in the right direction.

So just write it off as DR x/Magic? Fair enough.

Since we're on the topic of conversion anyway, I trust Wilderness Lore is just Knowledge (Nature)?

It's Survival, actually. Intuit Direction got folded into Survival too, in case you see any of that.

Figured it was either that or Survival.

3.0 had DR increase in increments eg. DR X/+1 (meaning you need a +1 or better weapon to overcome it), DR X/+4 (your weapon needs to be +4 or better) etc.

They changed this to flat DR X/Magic and added materials & alignments instead in 3.5, meaning people put things like Flaming on their weapons instead of basic enchantments to overcome DR.

Edit: There's a free PDF to download here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20030718a) that gives a comprehensive update of the book to 3.5.

Innuendo was folded into Bluff, if you ever come across that.

Remember to assign DR accordingly to the kind of monster and the value.

Say for demons, a 10/+1 is likely to become 5/magic... a 15/+2 is likely to become 10/cold iron or good , and a 30/+4 a 15/Cold iron and Good.

Better guidelines are in the 3.0 -> 3.5 switch downloads. Lok for them at the WotC website.

You have to open them and put them in an image since they're not built in.
