you awake in a dimly lit stone chamber, past the open wodden door you hear the sounds of yipping and shuffling feet.

Krank wakes up and finds himself in a strange room. Confused of the surroundings, he takes a look around trying to understand of the situation.
Hearing strange noise coming behind the door, he stands up, fastens shield and draws the sword as quietly as possible.

Perception to understand the size, content of the room. Location of door. Also the number of creatures behind the door (possibly how close to the door they are). Perception also to understand if door opens in- or outwards and if the door could be smashed down easily or not (rotten?).

in short you have no idea how you got here and past the door way is a corridor that goes off to the right so you would need to look around the corner to learn more, the room you are in is empty, the door opens in wards and looks old and rotten. unless you either go into combat or have some means of accurately measuring the room you don't know its exact size, it seems to be a small room.

Krank decides to rely on surprise instead of stealth and moves to the door. Just before stepping out to the corridor, he raises his sword to strike whatever comes first and then steps to corridor.

Initiative:
[roll0] (Hoping for surprise-round.)
Passive perception 15 to see which creatures there are, equipment, corridor width/height, lighting.
