Help is more than welcomed

I have a Bard/Mind Bender/Fiend of Corruption character
6/1/2
LA +1
With Leadership and Improve Cohort

This character as you can imagine based on the classes is not optimized and by no chance is good on fights. Well I'm playing a solo campaign and the master is sending me a whole party to kill me.

I was able to scry on the party and I got this: they are very meele oriented

1 Barbarian Big Stupid Fighter
1 Fighter with dual weapons
1 Fighter Meet Shield
1 Cleric Meet Shield
1 Rogue with a nice bow

The master is a really build optimizer so I don't know how this party is done but it will be hard

They are coming to get me at my house, I have time to prepare myself, the terrain and everything, I DON'T want to run away

So I need to finish creating my cohort, so far this is how i was doing the build:

Focused Conjurer 5 Master Specialist 4
Stats (28 points build) INT 18 DEX 14 CON 14
INT +2 from levels +4 from headband +3 fiend's favor (27)
Forbidden Schools: Enchantment, Evocation, Necromancy
Immediate Magic (Abrupt Jaunt)

Feats I was considering:
Spell Focus (Conjuration)
Metamagic School Focus
Extend Spell
Sculp Spell
Sudden Widden Spell

Spells I was considering:

1: 4-1+3+2 = 8
Nerveskitter
Blockade
Expeditious Retreat
Grease

2: 4-1+3+2 = 8
Invisibility
Web
Glitterdust
Fog Cloud
Cloud of Bewilderment
Alter Self

3: 3-1+3+2 = 7
Dimension Step
Mager Armor (greater)
Sleet Storm
Haste
Phantom Steed

4: 2-1+3+2 = 6
Evard's Black Tentacles
Solid Fog
Orb of Fire
Celerity
Polymorph

5: 1-1+3+1 = 4
Teleport
Wall of Stone
Cloudkill
Friend to Foe
Shadow Evocation
Draconic Polymorph
Flesh to Ice
Refusal
Wall of Dispel Magic
Vitriolic Sphere

Why five levels of conjurer? Conjurer 3/Master Specialist 6 seems a bit better, and you don't really need the extra bonus feat.

Make sure to buff up before the fight, and cast Wall of Dispel Magic at the door before they arrive so that they lose all buffs that the cleric may have cast.

Wouldn't a Malconvoker build be a better option? you can get more meat shields to protect yourself.... might need some re-fluffing for the malconvoker since IIRC it is a good class by default.

It requires non-evil, but it's extremely easy to refluff (replace "fight evil with evil" with "fight with evil"). I would suggest it, except Malconvoker 5 is the cutoff point, and this guy is starting at 9th level. Depends on how much you care about things after the current fight. Malconvoker is a good investment, but for the here and now, it would lose you a spell level, which makes the battle a lot more dangerous.

You are making yourself awfully vulnerable by just standing there. Get something between you and the door, like a chair or something, so that they can't just charge at you. Getting a layer of altitude between you guys would be even better. Also, some Extended Sculpted Grease on the ground would be great, since it's not easy to spot and they have another problem in actually reaching your location.

Have your cohort Polymorph you into something awesome beforehand, and Draconic Polymorph himself as well. I'd keep Enchantment so you can Dominate one of them (fighter or barbarian) which can help turn the tide very easily.

Edit: In response to V-below-V I guess.

I delete the reply and repost it, because by mistake I post it with the wrong username the first time, sorry.

The cohort is being created right now, so far I have been playing without the cohort, I took leadership but never actually created the cohort, it was a future investment. So I can completely modify every single stat and race and class and everything

I forgot to write why i did 5 levels of focus, is to get a domain power with the alternative from complete champion, I'm still trying to decide wich domain.

But if you think something different is better please shoot it.

So far I was thinking on waiting them at the basement with location superiority, of course the dispel wall is a must.

the plan of the building is something like this:

1: My character

3: Party that wants to kill me is coming from this corridor

R: Roof

So as you can see my cohort is ready to start blasting from above with battlefield control.

Make the intruders pay for every inch of your home they tresspass on. Have you ever seen the movie Home Alone? Something like that... but with magic. :smallamused:

I'd keep Enchantment so you can Dominate one of them (fighter or barbarian) which can help turn the tide very easily.

My main character has enchantment, being a fiend of corruption is has a few nice things, not overpower but nice, like alternate form and suggestion.

Cloudkill the room, then teleport out? He's a Conjurer. He's got 5th level spells. He should have Teleport. Cloudkill disorients and distracts opponent party long enough to get out of encounter. And if you are lucky, they'll be trying to use See Invis to see if you are still hanging around. By the time they suspect you teleported, you're long gone.

I don't want to leave my house, IT'S MY BLOODY HOUSE, I want to make them pay for invading it.

But of course if by any chance I'm loosing I will teleport away

Any help is appreciated, this battle is taking place in three weeks in real life time and two days in game time.

One thing to remember- battlefield control is great, but it doesn't actually kill people.

The reason this board loves the Logic Ninja Batman Wizard is because he makes a TEAM destroy everyone. A barbarian who can only take one action per turn and has penalties to hit is still a barbarian that can kill you if he gets to you.

So how do you see the battle progressing? How are you going to kill these guys?

Do you have time to install any traps?
Might want to stock up on some invisibility potions, also.

I have time for traps but no money, I want the more BC and of course end up killing them.

Your big problem is that you're outnumbered. Battlefield control and home field advantage are good, but separating the group so that you only have to fight half of them means you're still outnumbered, and someone's still going to have to do some damage.

You have no money, but you're an enchantment-focused bard. Assuming you're in a town, convince the town that everyone's going to be invaded, and that you're the first target, so everyone should come defend your house. That way you'll have a LOT of meat shields, and as a bonus if the attacking party is good or even neutral they might be uncomfortable cleaving through innocent peasants to get to you (might).

Wherever you live, go Suggest some powerful folk from the nearest town to help defend you. If this doesn't work, promise payment for services rendered using what should be a nice Bluff check modifier. If this doesn't work, use your Suggestion or other enchantment/illusion abilities to get money quickly, and then use this money to pay powerful folk for services rendered. If none of this works either your DM is fiat-pwning you or your character needs the optimization advice, not your cohort.

Lessere Planar Binding (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/planarBindingLesser.htm) could get you some allies. Speaking of your cohort, where are the rest of your followers?

Is your house on the plains or other territory where you could see your enemies approaching from a while away? If so, long range spells such as the much-maligned Fireball could turn the fight in your favor before they're even close.

OK, I need to give more information:

My house is one of big house in a medium size town.
The rest of my followers are rogue/fighter followers, really low level

My character is tiefling (with home modifications, more kind of a devil than demon tiefling)

Cha: 24

Diplomacy: 30
Disguise: 21
Bluff: 21

So my main character is outsider for polymorph sugestions

My character is not open to modifications, buy my cohort is

How long do you have to prepare? If you have a significant amount of time (days) then ghoul glyph (Libris Mortis) is your friend. It keeps your melee focused enemies locked in paralysis...every single time they move...without a save. It is the definition of incredibly stinky cheese though.
