So does anyone else in the playground have plans to go to a music festival this summer?
This summer I will be whisking away to deepest, darkest Wales for Green Man (http://www.greenman.net). A rather lovely, folkish festival. It'll be my second time going, which means the first time was pretty rad. And last year Dr. Bath went and I managed to miss him. Oh well.

So is anyone else going to Green Man, or any other festivals?

I saw Iggy Pop at NXNE last weekend. It was mind-blowing.

I was desperate to arrange a visit to Green Man, and failed when friends pulled out. Ah, well. Have an awesome time!

Well next year just go anyway. I'll be there, and independent surveys have suggested that I'm pretty rad.

Already went to my festival this year, Norwegian Wood. (http://www.norwegianwood.no/)This year was pretty great, though the finale was slightly more laidback than I had hoped it would be (Mark Knopfler was seated during his entire show due to backproblems.) Van Morrison also played the day before and put up one fantastic show to round up an otherwise mediocre day of other performances from other local bands. All in all: Festival was amazing!

I'm going to a music festival in a few days, but not for the music, but for the people.

My little brother got to see Rammstein. Slightly jealous. Also Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Mötörhead and Amom Amarth, but I don't really care about these. Yes, all in the same concert.

I'm going to see Iggy at Rock Zottegem (http://www.rock-zottegem.be/), a quite minor festival. I'm also going to attend Graspop (http://www.graspop.be/), Dour (http://www.dourfestival.be/nl/) and Sfinx (http://www.sfinks.be/home.php).

I'm not paying for Graspop. I've got an annual job there. Anyways, Eldan's brother is the bigger bastard.

Also, I may attend Castlefest and/or UK meetup. When are they?

Driving, on the other hand, is acceptably cheap.

I used to love working crew at summer music festivals.
I met famous people, heard great music, and had a grand time.

I recommend it to you youths {or those in need of a temp-job}, I had a blast every time.

Indeed, it is awesome.

Also, 40 euros from Belgium? I think I'm paying something like 30 euros for the train.

Edward: Cool, got a possible carseat left? Since my place is rather between your place and Castlefest.:smalltongue:
I'd chip in for gass if you want. Better then 30 euros :smalltongue: though I might have to double-check this, considering people I might be/will prolly be going with.

If you take the train in Antwerp Central station ,it's about 40 euros for a two-way ticket...
