Here's something that's been brewing in my head for a while.

Why not just give responsible players the option to set the difficulty of their gaming experience?

So here's model 1:

:smallwink:
Green- Putting a green marker dot on your character page signifies that it is in Green mode, which means all core rules apply and house rules are minimal, the character is also awarded extra protection from the world and generally has a much easier and simpler role playing experience.

:smallconfused:
Blue- Putting a blue marker dot on your character page signifies that it is in Blue mode, which means core rules loosely apply, a character can use core rules for defense in some situations but is effected by a much broader scope of realism than Green mode, and is rewarded moreso by access to certain houserules available for Blue or Red characters.

:smallamused:
Red- Putting a red marker dot on your character page signifies that it is in Red mode, which means that the core rules very loosely apply, and in some situations simply do not, a character cannot use core rules as their defense most of the time, but can also largely transcend those rules while having full access to house rules. The realism for Red character is enriched and at times inconvenient, though the rewards make up for the difficulty.

Basically the higher the difficulty the more the rewards, harder characters get more power for their level and have better XP gain as well as unique systems.

What are your thoughs? Feel free to construct and tweak as you wish!
