Hello everyone!

I was wondering if there are templates or races for creatures that would be planetouched but not by celestials or fiends. As there are many planes in DnD (elemental planes for examples) I was wondering if I could make for example a fighter with fire-plane blood ties (not talking about playing a fire elemental but a planetouched creature by someone from the fire plane).

Many thanks and if you can please give me the references.

It sounds to me like Bloodlines are what you're looking for!

You can find them in the Unearthed Arcana rules, found here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/bloodlines.htm).

Of course you'll have to get on your DM's good side to waive the levels you'd have to put in them, or maybe give up one of the base race's features to compensate.

Hope this helps!

there are the Genasi, which are races much like Aasimar or Tiefling, but have ties to the elemental planes

Well, MM II, which is a 3.0 book as info on Chaonds and Zenythri, which are the chaotic and lawful (respectively) variants of Tieflings and Aasimar. They have a "Chaonds as characters" block, but no listed racial traits (just an ECL) Though, you can extrapolate the ability score bonuses from the non-elite array (all racial boosts and penalties are + or - even numbers (+2,-2,+4,-4,...) So a Chaonds would be +4 Dex, +2 Con and -2 Cha with an ECL of class level +1.

Yeah, the genasi are the ones you want. They are THE planetouched of elemental planes.

I believe there also stats for planetouched for other planes as well. (I remember a Mechanus planetouched)

Having played an Air Genasi myself, I'm baffled that I didn't come up with them. :smalleek:

You can find them in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, page 20. They're not the best race for fighters, but if the fluff suits, who cares!

Players Guide to Faruen (FR book, but the races in question are not setting based) has the "lesser" (not acctually outsider so no cool Alter Self abuse or free martial weapon use) LA0 versions.

There is a handbook (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=6992.0), obviously.

In addition to my homebrew ones, on www.planewalker.com you can find the Planescape 3rd edition campaign setting, which has not only tiefling and aasimar, but also lawful, neutral and chaotic planetouched, and the genasi of the four major elemental planes. If you search around a little, you'll also find Quasi- and paraelemental genasi.

Hmm, I looked at crystal keep list, and it seems Dragon Mag has those paraelemental genasi.
