Ive heard that Tanarukks are in the new 4e monster manual. I can not get my hands on the book right now, so I just want to know has anything changed physicly or story-wise for them? Maybe a possible pc?
Any info is appreciated.

Basically the equivalent of tiefling-orcs. In 3e, they had 5 outsider HD and some decent stats at a cheap cr2. No idea about their 4e incarnation though.

They are forgotten-realms specific, should be in monsters of faerun and races of faerun, IIRC.
The flavor was changed quite a bit.
While they still are orcs with demon blood, they are now created in "vats". They are not a true-breeding race anymore, which, I think, is a pity. I would surely go with the older fluff. Demon people multiplying like rabbits is an unusual and scary shtick.
Their common ability is to remain at 1HP, when they would first drop below 1HP. They also still have Resist fire.
