are there any creative builds out there that would successfully create an Obi Wan (or similar Jedi) as a non-casting class? i was looking at potentially a swordsage, but i am not that skilled with ToB, so i was wondering if there were any advice or tips that the masters of ToB could give me

ToB is the way to go.

I'd do a jedi-like build focusing on Diamond mind.

Psychic warrior is an alternative to ToB if you pick the right powers.

Yeah, does PsyWarrior count as a non-caster? Because it really is the best "Jedi" class in 3e IMO.

Not to derail this.. But do you need the complete psy book to make a good psy character..

I was askin.. I have never used psy stuff.. And I kind of want to try it.. So I was asking if you need the complete book to make a good one.

Usually people tend to use question marks in that case.

oh, I thought you were telling me that it is a problem that it uses that book... not asking if it uses that book :P

Yeah, this. It has his stats and everything.

(And almost any D&D character of equivalent level -and with a sensible equipment selection - can take him out: Jedi use their Vitality Points [hit points] to power their Force skills...)

Sorry for the confusion.. So is it needed though?

What happened to the WOTC?!!!! Ok, they dropped first RCR, then Saga, then even the Trading Card Games and the whole Star wars franchise? If yes, that sucks. What of the bounty of pdfs that was available there (including the stats for Obi 1?)

O.

No, the Complete Psionic book adds a couple of good options to Psionic characters, but the Expanded Psionic Handbook is all you need (which is also in the SRD).
