Online strategy game suggestions?

Hi! Help?!

A friend and I want to find a good strategy game to play co-op online. We used to play a lot of Age of Wonders, but we've done that to death now and are in need of suggestions for something new. Wish there was a new AoW really, it's perfect.

Anyway...the game doesn't have to be turn based like AoW, but it would be practical. As mentioned we want to play co-op against the AI. Neither of us have the most awesome specs, so anything very heavy wouldn't work too well.

So...suggestions? Every suggestion will be welcome!

Battle For Wesnoth. Its a free turn based strategy game, but extremely high quality, to the point where shelling out 20-30 dollars for it wouldn't be unreasonable. The AI is actually somewhat competent, but not overwhelming, and you can play cooperative games in both generic battles and in multiplayer scenarios and campaigns, with one particular campaign, Wesband, for microtactics.

Although you can't really play against the AI in Dominions 3 since the AI kinda sucks and can't keep up with the current metagame, I'm still going to suggest it because it's an amazing game.
