Naruto D20 Animal Companion Frustration (Please Help!)

Here's my problem: I'm in the process of making an Aburame insect master and I have been given permission to use an insect from the summoning section. I've narrowed it down to either the wasp, the beetle, or the scorpion. They each have their merits but the pros and cons of each has put me at a standstill.

The wasp can fly, has poison, and will eventually be able to carry me.

The beetle can double as a mount, has a powerful gore attack, can trample, and gets better armor class than the others.

Finally the scorpion has three attacks, poison, can double as a mount, and has high strength and con.

My character is going to be using his kikachuu as his main offensive ability so I dont know whether to go with mobility (wasp), defense (beetle), or offense (scorpion).

Wasp. Flying gives a major advantage both in and out of combat ^_^

As an Aburame, you should really be able to get some kind of swarm as your AC. That's kind of the point, innit?

That said, flight >>> no flight.

I'm not sure I quite understand what you're trying to say.

Keep in mind also, I'm not going strictly for power. I also have to consider how this will reflect in RP situations as the setting is following a timeline where akatsuki won and are now dominating pretty much everything except Boshuko (anti-akatsuki rebel group that im a part of) and the rogue nin.

I have two levels in beast master so I was planning on teaching it the burrowing technique and one other.

Wups, I'm the one who's misunderstanding. Aburames canonically get a swarm of kikai bugs. I thought the animal companion was a replacement, but I see on the charsheet that it isn't.

I would if I could but I can't yet. I don't know the rules so I can't really suggest anything optimal.

However, personal preference, I'd go with the Scorpion.

I'm beginning to lean towards wasp. Flying a Huge wasp at later levels is too good to pass up. Beetle is a close second though.

Just posting in a quick tip: burrowing could save your life if Mugen Tsukoyomi (Madara's ultimate technique that won the fourth great ninja war) goes off and there isn't any cover nearby.
