Talisman

I bought this board game the other week, 4th edition. We ran through it a couple of times with 3 character's.

First time the Monk was too awesome but that was because we added his whole Craft bonus to everything when it should have just been his base score... My minstrel got toaded twice and lost his bear... The elf was second.

Then the second time I'd drawn the monk and I got to the middle ring really early but I just could not land on the hermit's tile to get a talisman, and I didn't want to do a warlock's quest when the Hermit was so close by.

Then my brother's wizard caught up and dominated everything. In this game the elf sucked... it was very random.

The Monk is incredibly powerful nonetheless. Whenever I played with friends, we tended to ban the Monk.

Not quite as bad as some of the characters introduced by the expansions, but still.
