Alright, one of my old players is joining a Star Wars game with me (that I won't be running for once, huzzah). However we just made the switch to Saga Edition because most of us wanted to try something new rather than d6, which was our go to game since we started roleplaying.
Anyhow the player is cool with this, however he has a rather complex character that may be hard getting into d20 style. Essentially he wants to be John Casey from the show Chuck, starting at level 3.
The character in question has 3 major traits going for him:
1 He's a weapons expert showing above average skill in everything from pistols to sniper rifles to miniguns
2 He's a spy, so he'd definitely have some scouting or information gathering abilities but is also definitely trained in (and possibly Skill Focused in) Deception based off of how many disguises he pulls.
3 He's an unarmed combat specialist
Like I said we're starting at level 3 and I don't think all of this will be available. However he wants to gain these as early as possible, and asks some questions such as is going into the Martial Artist or Elite Trooper prestige class worth it? And what good damage options are available with this template in mind? Any good feat/talent options?
There is 1 houserule that will probably be beneficial, when muli-classing into the three higher skill classes (Scout, Noble, Scoundrel) you can choose to gain a skill from their skill list instead of a starting feat.
Thank you all for you help.
