Velorotian Theater II (Nexus) (Semi-Plot)

The Velorotian Theater
The Velerotian Theater, a huge building erected near the center of Town. It is built out of grey bricks, and is pentagonal in shape, the top point, where the main door is, is on a Y shaped intersection, where rich children play, and fancier clothing and food sotres are found. Yes, this building is located in the richer section of Town. It has a carriage service, and one huge stage inside.

Standing in front of the huge oaken front door, is a doorman, wearing a black suit trimmed with gold. As a person walks up the steps to the building, he pulls the doors open wide for them to enter. Once inside, one enters the lobby.

The lobby is magnificent. A reception desk directly in front of the enterance, with three ticket masters sitting at it. Ticket usually run about 50Sp a pop, for regular seating. On either side of the desk is a huge curved stair case, leading to the second floor of three. On the bottom floor is a small staircase down, where one could buy drinks or meal. The balcony seats have waiters assigned to them. Behind the reception desk is a large set of black doors, trimmed with gold, where a usher stands, this leads to the main theater area.

The main theater has eight row of seats, each row containing three sections of seven chairs. The main stage is huge, and draped with black curtains, trimmed with gold. The stage is about 70' by 70', giving it plenty of room for props and what not.

On the second floor, the first thing a person is greeted by is a huge dove fountain, in the center of a ledge overlooking the first floor. On either side of the fountain is a long, and dark hallway, lit with a few very small candles. There are open doors along the inner side of the, these doors lead to the thirty balconies. If one wishes privacy from the halls, there are thick curtains that can be pulled to block vision. The balconies each have four large lounge recliners, that are very comfortable.

The third floor, accesible by a stairway backstage, is made almost entirely of catwalks and offices. Includin the office of the owner, Gern Velorotian.

The bouncers. The bouncers are NPCs. There are twenty of them. They wear skin tight black tank tops, and jeans. If trouble arises, they show up. They're all very strong and capable of casting a spell of paralyzation. They're all armed with daggers, and brass knuckles. They will attempt to stop any rough housing, or unorderly behavior.

In the main stage hall actors and techs are buzzing around, getting things ready for the play. The smell of fresh cooked food comes from the bar, and everything has been cleaned to shining. The upstairs, and downstairs ushers are ready and waiting to lead people to their seats. The doors have just been opened! The play is set to start in the next few hours.


Anyone coming from the HALO portal will appear right outside of the building.

The doorman holds the door for them, smiling.

Carrie glances around, wanting to go in with Genkai and Din if she can.

Carrie smiles and does a little wave to Din, but still looks for Gen.

Penny waves to Din as well.

Din walks over to Carrie first, and hands her a little bag of chocolates . she glances over to Penny"I'll be with you in a minute hon! here! I made you some chocolate! I was making some for amanda and penny, and though you might want some more cheering up!"

[Beans]

Carrie smiles.
Aww, thanks, Din. You're the best.

Penny giggles in her adorably brainless way.

Din gives Carrie a quick hug, and runs over to Penny "I made you some too! but eat them later, they've go a little extra in them"

[Beans]

Penny blushes.
"Awww, that's great..."

[Quinsar]

People are shuffling into the theater. The show is sold out. good thing Amanda got them all tickets.

Din smiles, and offers Penny her arm "shall we get to our seats?"

[Beans]

Carrie heads into the theatre; Penny takes Din's arm.

[Quinsar]

An usher will ask for their tickets as they enter.

[Beans]

If Amanda gave Carrie the tickets, she presents them.

[Quinsar]

She did! The usher will lead them all up to second floor, and a balcony seat. The balcony is very comfortable, with lounge recliners.

Din leads Penny into the theatre ,and will present their tickets

Carrie smiles and steers her spiderchair to a good spot.

Penny takes a seat.

((Since something seems to be preventing Kurama from posting, can we just, like... all say that Genkai's here unless Kur appears and disputes it?))

The curtain Is currently down. I'm gonna give BR and Kurama a chance to post before we start. Does half an hour soundgood? I pm'd them. If they don't post in half an hour we will start and just say they're there.

Carrie tries not to think about how she has to tell Amanda that she and Gen are apart now.

Patty will arrive outside of the main building.

Having arrived, Patty walks up to the theater with a smile. And a sway in her hips, her Angelican holy symbol prominently displayed as she heads to the door to head inside...

An usher will ask for her ticket, which Amanda had a DRD deliver.

And Patty hands over her ticket with a broad smile, as she - discreetly - casts a 'Look at Me' sort of spell on herself, to make herself appear a bit more attractive to onlookers (the bouncers, at the moment, likely being the only ones).

A couple people stair.
The usher will lead her to the balcony with Din, Carrie, and Penny

Din will smile and wave to her "Hi patty! you here too?"

Carrie sees Patty and waves with one black-gloved hand. She's even decked out her spiderchair with gold inlay.
Patty, great to see you.

[Quinsar]

I don't think Kurama is coming, so we'll just say Genkai is here...
Unless Kurama later objects.
The lights dim, and the curtain begins to rise.

[The Bushranger]

Staring...exactly what Patty was hoping for. :smallwink:
She lets the spell fade as they head inside, and smiles broadly, waving back as she spots her friends.
"Hey, girls. It's great to see you too!"
She'll take a seat somewhere where she isn't getting between people, getting comfortable as the curtain rises!

Sorry I'm watching TV with my cousin so it took me longer than normal to read the first post.

Genkai enters the building holding Colin. She's wearing a plain black dress, and red earings. Her hair isn't in it's usual braid. She hands the ticket to the guy at the front desk.

The man will lead Genkai to the balcony seat with Patty, Carrie, Din, and Patty.

Din giggles , and watches the stage, holding hands with Penny, and looking at Patty every so often

[Beans]

Carrie is sitting next to an empty seat for Gen.
Hi Gen.
She looks great.

Penny glances at Patty as well, impressed. Probably thinking "Wow, this is my girlfriend's boss? Coolio!"

[The Bushranger]

Heehee.
Patty waves, in the wiggling-fingers discreet way, at Penny. "Hi there. Penny, right? It's good to meet you."
She'll catch one of Din's glances, and wink.

[Quinsar]

The play starts. It's a comedy about two felons escaping from jail. Amandas part is later in the play. It's still in the first act. Waiters come around asking if anyone wants drinks or food.

[Beans]

"Nice to meet you too." Penny, gloriously overdressed, replies.

Carrie and Penny both politely decline refreshments.

Din accepts, and has a flute of champagne. she giggles as Patty winks back

Genkai smiles and sits down next to Carrie.
Hello.

[Beans]

Amanda paid for these seats herself... she's such an angel.
I'll have to start sneaking money under her pillow.
Carrie smiles and offers to hold Colin.

Patty asks for an egg roll, and Chianti...

"It's great to be able to get out and be with y'all here," she whispers, smiling at her friends and companions.

Din giggles and shifts a little closer to patty, trying to take Penny with her

Patty giggles as well, and goes to put an arm around both Din and Penny with a broad smile.

((bah. shopping. back as soon as I can be.))

Ach, Patty, y'stole the words right from my mouth.
Carrie decides that if Patty's going to show traces of an accent, then she might as well too, letting a little of her Scots (specifically, Renfrewshire) accent shine through. In this case, "words" is more like "whords", and "stole" and "mouth" are "stool" and "mooth" respectively.
Yes, Carrie is Scottish only when I feel like it.

Arm is put around. Penny giggles quietly.

Din kisses the girls either side of her,and enjoys the play, waiting for amanda's part.

me go watch the football now (the proper football, not the American stuff! 'SCHLAND!) but I'm watching it over stream, so I'll still be posting, just not as fast

Act two starts. About halfway through Amanda comes out. The two criminals are in a donna trying to hide.
Stop! Police! You're under arrest!
They run. Amanda "fires" her pistol at them. There are three loud cracks, must be a gun firing blanks, or a cap gun maybe. Bot the fugitives fall... Wait. That wasn't supposed to happen... Theyre both bleeding, it looks like real blood. Amanda is frozen, a look of fear on her face. The lights flicker, then go out.

Din bolts up, and jumps down the balcony, trying to run over too where amanda was!

[Viera Champion]

Genkai wraps an arm around Carrie subconsciously. Not even noticing that she did it. But then that happens. She leaps up.

[Beans]

Carrie sees bad stuff happen and gasps.
She teleports herself downstairs, handing Colin to this chick (http://public5.tektek.org/img/av/1007/d06/1418/c669583.png) she summoned.
She rushes toward the stage, darkvision kicking in.

Penny follows Din!

[Quinsar]

The people who rushed downstairs will be stopped by men in dark armored suits. They're holding great axes and crossbows. A portal opens on the stage. Amanda is still frozen.

[iElf]

Din eyes the men, and gives them a look saying "I'm important. don't mess with me" "let me through. she's my girlfriend!"

[Beans]

That's my daughter up there. You have five seconds to get out of the way.
Five.

[Quinsar]

Carrie might notice one of them is wearing a visible Cardinal holy symbol. They raise their weapons. The crossbowman shoots and arrow at Carrie!
On the stage appears the Cardinal.

The stage begins to collapse, Amanda is frozen in fear.

[Beans]

Carrie grunts in pain, then sees the Cardinal.
She screams in rage.
YOU AGAIN?!

[iElf]

Din tries to barge through the guards, and rush to Amanda, her love giving her exceptional strength

[Quinsar]

As Din rushes by one of the guards swing an an Axe at her.





It continues to collapse, Amanda is getting his with some small stones. She's sitting on the floor, knees pulled to her chest now...

[Beans]

Carrie stands shakily up, going Full Goddess.
GET OUT OF MY WAY!
The guards may encounter burning orange light and searing heat.

[iElf]

a small magic shiels blocks off the edge of the ax, but Din is thrown back several meters.."AMANDA!"

[Viera Champion]

Gen watches in horror feeling useless.

[Quinsar]

The guards screamed as they're burned.




Amanda is kind of zoned out, larger pieces begin to fall. if she doesn't get out of there she'll be buried alive.

[iElf]

Din will run to her, and try to get her away if she can, with all her strength

[Beans]

Carrie tries to shove them out of the way and get to Amanda.
AMANDA!
RUN!

[Quinsar]

As they get close to the stage, the Cardinal turns to them, and begins to shoot orbs of death energy sat them.


amnda doens't respond, she's just crying.

[iElf]

Din will dodge them, and do anything she can to get amanda

[Beans]

Carrie steps forward, gold energy surging up to absorb the attack.
You.
It's always you, always you screwing with my family.

Well, Cardy, you've picked the worst time to make a move.

Her eyes blaze orange, gold, then something paler...

[Quinsar]

Din can make it to the stage, the Cardinal whips his tail at her. he stand between her and Amanda.
he growls at Carrie.

[Viera Champion]

A blast of psychic energy shoots at the Cardinal. If he looks at the balcony, he will see Genkai looking furious.
Get away from my daughter...

[iElf]

Din draws a sword out of thin air, and hacks at the cardinals tail, while trying to get round to amanda

[Beans]

Din can make it to the stage, the Cardinal whips his tail at her. he stand between her and Amanda.
he growls at Carrie.
Wrong move.

The glow around her hands leaves the orange spectrum and heats up to pale gold.
Her wings begin burning with white fire.
Say hi to The Many for me.
You're gonna end up---what's left of you---in whatever hellhole she dropped into.

[Quinsar]

The Cardinal's tail is cut, he's knocked back a bit by the psychich energy.
He begins to charge some kind of very powerful spell.
Amanda is getting up...

[iElf]

Din tries to stab him in the chest while he casts the spell. the blade is covered in pure positive energy...

[Beans]

Carrie hurls herself forward to take the proverbial bullet (or, in this case, super spell) for the others.
Of course, the fact that she is literally burning with whitegold fire may give the Cardy some pause for thought. Specifically, that thought being "Ouch."
Gen, Din, Amanda, Penny, all of you... I love you.
And this... ends... HERE.

Soon you'll see, Quin, another reason why Cruelty was so intent on getting Carrie in the PPC, even if he didn't know it fully.

[Quinsar]

He growls and manages to dodge the stab, the spell is almost done...
Amanda is stumbling towards him... Then Carrie jumps at him. He screams, being burned severely.

[Viera Champion]

Pew pew pew. Three more blasts shoot at him.

while he's distracted, Din tries to get in a finishing blow, aiming for the neck with a strong slash
"I'M NOT LETTING HIM KILL YOU CARRIE!"

Carrie tries to absorb the spell into herself.
It'll probably kill her, but she figures it'll give the Cardy sufficient deterrent to slink off and avoid her family.

ALL OF YOU, GET BACK!

And you, Cardy... She pushes her face close to his.
You're mine, you worm.


I doubt Din could decapitate him without hitting Carrie, as the two are pretty much grappling and stuff.
Quin, thanks for this opportunity to advance my schedule with the PPC and Carrie.

[Quinsar]

He's hit in the neck with a sword, but she might also hit Carrie.... The spell will either kill her, or hurt her very badly... The Cardinal will spit in Carrie's face...
Amanda is close enough to touch them now. Any explosions would probably hurt her very badly.

Din will jump back ,and try to shield Amanda, leaving the sword on the floor. she creates a magic bubble around them that will protect them against some attacks

[Quinsar]

Amanda will try to get away to Din, and closest Carrie and the Cardinal.

[Beans]

Carrie twists her neck around ALL THE WAY to look at Din.
Amanda, get back.
Now.
I love you, now run like hell.
She turns back to the Cardinal.

Burned all the good things in the eden eye, we were too dumb to run, too dead to die...

Din tries to get Amanda out of the way, crying at Carries words "please...no...."

Amanda ignores them both and tries to rush forward. She seems to be controlled.

[Beans]

Carrie shudders, and spirits of the dead fade in to restrain Amanda.

I'm glad we're delaying the inevitable explosion, because that gives Kurama time to post.

[Quinsar]

Amanda is restrained.

[The Bushranger]

Patty returns the kiss with a smile, then settles in to watch the act.

When things go wrong, she freezes for a minute, shocked.
Then leaps forwards torwards the stage.
"Who is this goon?" she shouts, leaping into the air!
A blade of lavender energy springing out from her hand, and she tries to move around to stab the Cardinal up through the back of the neck and into the brain, if she can!

In the tail, if she can't.

[Beans]

Patty, please, get out of the way. You do NOT want to be too close.

Carrie's spirits start hauling Amanda away.

Carrie starts glowing... the reactor's going critical!

Din tries to shiels Amanda from the impening blast, tears flowing freely "I don't want you to die Carrie..."

He's stabbed in the tail. Amanda goes limp and is dragged away.

Patty kicks off of the Cardinal's back, does a backflip, and postins herself between Din and Amanda, and Carrie and the Cardinal.
"Let me blast him!" she calls to Carrie, even as she dismisses the soulblade, and raises her hands. Ready to use her TK...

[Beans]

No, Patty.
This worm is mine.

I'd love to let Kurama post before the kaboom... I just hope he does soon...

Genkai shakes her head, still up on the balcony.
Carrie... No...

Din sobs as she strengthens the shield around herself and amanda "Carrie...don't die...you can't die..."

[Beans]

Carrie looks at Gen.
Genkai Aldaro, I love you.
I gave you my heart, and now all I have left to give... is my very existence.

I lay it down for you.

And, unless Patty is too close, she explodes into whitegold fire all over the Cardinal.
Ouch.

All that's left of Carrie is a pile of feathers.

Quinsar is probably the only person who might know what comes next.

The Cardinal is dead!
Amanda begins to cry.

Din falls to her knees, the shield disappears...she starts bawling , crying her heart you "carrie...no...no....no...NOOOOOOOOOOO!!"

Patty isn't too close, and throws her hands up as the explosion happens, her own telekinensis* forming a shield against the blast.

Then dropping her hands, and staring at the pile of feathers...shocked.

"There had to be another way..."



* That her player constantly forgets she has.

[Quinsar]

Amanda tries to hug Din,s till crying.

Patty then turns, and goes to hug both Din and Amanda.
"What happened?" she whispers, as her player heads off again. Shopping. Whee.

[Beans]

I can't hold off my next post any longer. I have ADD, so SORRY KURAMA.

The feathers start moving into vague shapes... like wings.

Din shrugs amanda off, and runs to Carries remains "I...I can resurect her....I ...there has to be away...I can't lose another friend..." there is desperation in her eyes, and a glint of madness. she can't lose someone again...

[Quinsar]

Amanda burries her face into her knees and begins to bawl.

Genkai sees the feathers move.
Carrie?...

The feathers rustle as they swirl and compact and decompress across the shattered floor.

Stuff is gonna happen.

The feathers form into two wings, wrapped fully around something.

Amanda isn't looking up, she's still crying.

The wings open... and there stands... Carrie?

Her hair is whitegold, and her feathers are dawn-grey. Her skin isn't corpse-pale but a different pale, and her eyes shine like metal.
She's naked as a newborn.

Din looks up at her, not beleving her eyes "c...carrie? is that really you?"

Patty quickly produces a pair of trousers (the right trousers) and a T-shirt from her portable Bag of Holding.

The Cardinal. Bastard of a death god that's been warring against Riara since... a while ago.
And, because I'm allied with Riara---a catgirl goddess of love, so it's not exactly hard to tell she's the good one---and I took the throne that was vacated when the Cardinal's baby's mama got offed... well, he hated me too.
The guy enslaved thousands and crusaded against catpeople, among other things. Combine that with a galaxy-sized ego, and you have a real bastard.

And I frigging killed him.
... I think I might have awesomed a little.
