Please, i do not play dungeons and dragons or any roleplaying game like it, i just simply enjoy oots, so no flaming or making fun of please.

I understood every panel, including the 25 per sending, and the passage of time, but why did it send to roy?

I was going to post this in the strip thread but I thought i had a better chance of being answered here, and i hate spamming.

To figure out where Roy was taken and if he could do anything.

Plus, Roy's the Leader.

Because Durkon used the spell specifically to contact Roy? Because he just got arrested and contacting him was the first priority?

Because he wanted to contact and message Roy with the last one, forgetting the fact that he only had four prepared.

If you mean "How did it contact him?", a cleric did it..

From Roy's confidence about the whole situation at the first of 733, we can assume they already planned for Durkon to use Sending to talk to Roy if anything bad happened. Roy is the party leader, after all.

From another perspective on the question, Sending allows you to contact one being with which you are familiar. Durkon chose Roy because they needed to figure out what to do next.

No, sorry, i was reffering to why the last one went to roy, and belkar and roy seemed pissed.

Well that's the joke. Durkon got caught up in the conversation and didn't realize he'd used all 4 sendings on Roy until it was too late.

Because Roy had the travel guide and Durkon is a horrible sightseer.

I believe the punchline for

will explain this better for you. Our dwarf has a history of this.

And let's not forget that the Sending spell can only be seen by the person who's being directly contacted. It's a mental projection into the person's brain. That's why Belkar was reacting as if he couldn't see Durkon, 'cuz he couldn't.

Durkon wasted his fourth and last Sending spell informing Roy that he had one more prepared.

He prepared Sending to contact to Elan, Haley and V.
Unfortunately, he's out of them now, because he started to cast the last one while his thoughts were still with Roy.
