I'm looking around for a resource for a Chaotic Good wizard\cleric (5\1). The character is a gnome alchemist who travels around in his little gypsy wagon.

At a moments notice the whole party goes off somewhere together leaving the wagon locked up but mostly unguarded.

I was wondering if people could suggest spells or strategies for keeping the wagon safe.

We're playing Pathfinder.

Any ideas are welcome.

Right now I'm thinking of a summoning or construct of some sort....

The character is not really high enough level to do this well. I don't think its feasible to take the wagon with me yet but that's an option too.

Alarm (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/alarm.htm) is the classic answer, depending on how far you will go from the wagon. Wizard 5 means you just have access to Sepia Snake Sigil (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/sepiaSnakeSigil.htm), which has the advantage of being nonlethal but potent (assuming they fail the save) deterrent. The major drawback is the 500 gp component, but since they last until triggered it might be a rare reoccurring cost.

Hiring an NPC is pretty cheap if all they need to do is sit in the wagon and shout at intruders, but that's also another vulnerability the wagon gets: people can be Charmed or Dominated or kidnapped and replaced or...
