Just a disclaimer here in the start. This thread is not for ToB. This thread is for gathering resources while avoiding ToB. Now, don't get me wrong, I love ToB. It's awesome, but it's just not the point of this thread.
The point of this thread is to find homebrews for the traditional fighter classes, and bring them here. Fighters, Rangers, Paladins, they all tend to have a habit of being forced into one of the same cookie cutter builds around if they are to be effective. Core has a grand total of one (1) worthwhile Fighter/Ranger prestige class (Horizon Walker). Blackguard doesn't really count, because it's for.. fallen paladins. Now, splat does bring more options to the table, but more often than not, these options suck. Furthermore, even in the PRC department, casters tend to get more love. Also, while a sucky fighter prc just goes into the trashcan, a caster prc can be 8/10 with bad features without being crippling. Casters are already powerful, so they have more options to "lose power for flavor" to borrow words from the maker of one of the most flavorful classes ever, Lightning Warrior.
Now that I've got the Wall of text over with, let's get the compendium started. Not everyone wants to play a warblade after all.

Warseer
"That was a fairly obvious turn of events."
A warseer is a warrior who has come to expect anything. A warseer is never surprised and always ready. They have a tendency of knowing what will happen next. They possess keen insights and intelligence, seeing deception from a mile away. They are clever tacticians, but their insight does not come from a book. It comes from years of experience.

The radiant monk (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7205673&postcount=1), earthshaker (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8095123&postcount=1), bloodseeker (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8122441&postcount=1), and hollow edge (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8883264&postcount=1) are classes of mine that might work here.

Here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7300170&postcount=1)'s One-Two Punch, an unarmed feat.

Ground Pound (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7469568&postcount=3) and Meteor Hammer (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7470030&postcount=18) might work, too, but I didn't really give those much thought, honestly, so beware of adding those.

Here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8705560&postcount=1)'s an earth equipment thread that might work in the "Other" section, and here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8118771&postcount=1)'s a weapon I dreamed up (literally).

Improved divine grace (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7328937&postcount=1) is here, though the name and concept was perhaps too quick to come.

There was another thread pretty much just like this a few weeks/months back. I remember posting links to "Blocker" and "True Haste" and a bunch of other stuff. EDIT: Here we are "The Fighter Manifesto" http://www.giantitp.com/forums/printthread.php?t=149854 . Never-the-less I am going to info-dump. I think it also included an aspect of "What do we think a fighter should be ANYWAY?" to that thread toward the end, and I may be forgetting some aspects.

Feats:
Sniper's Patience (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8580128&postcount=34): Why waste an arrow if you are just going to miss?

Gemini Strike: For hit and run flanking and other such synchronized attacks.

Blocker (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113722): Increases your ability to screen the squishy types. Good by itself, even better with the Dwarven Defender PrC.

Brawn over Brain (AKA Physical Training Focus) (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=4505657#post4505657): For Dumb As A Post Monks, Rogues, Fighters, and Barbarians, who still are highly athletic.

Ignore Opponent (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94836): So the (Tucker's) kobold with no class levels can't cause you to count as flanked for the 5th level kobold rogue.

House Rules:
Total Defense and Steeling the Will (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61599): "I clutch my hands to my temple and yell 'Stay out of my head you!'. "

Spells:
True Haste (turns out this doesn't have its own post anywhere, let alone its own thread... find that other thread I mentioned, or check the post for my wing dragons... it is 3rd level, and single target.)

Prestige Classes:
Leap Dragoon (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143156): ((Yes, I know this requires bard, cleric and/or rogue dips and gives some spellcasting... it is still a fighter at heart I think.)) Based on Freya Crescent from Final Fantasy IX. Leaps to other planes to gain a moment to focus, then returns with re-doubled momentum. Originally a contest entry it now resides in the first two posts (I have to split it, due to size) of its own thread. As for the contest my entry is first tentatively mentioned in the chat thread HERE (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108732&page=33). The part of the discussion thread relevant to that overall contest starts HERE (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108732&page=27).

Snake-Blade (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4889524&postcount=30): Straightforward meleeists focused on the use of poison. Who says only cowardly skulkers use toxins?

My extended Sig. (many people have this... for me it is the last link in my sig).
Wing Dragon entry.
Scroll...

Or just use your Google-fu:
site:www.giantitp.com "True Haste"

That having been stated for the future benefit of all, here you go:
True Haste
Target: One Creature Touched
Range: Touch

As per Haste(Including which level it is for which classes) except that no bonus to base movement rate is given, but if the creature forgoes the extra attack granted, or does not attack in a given round it gains an additional move action (which may ONLY be used for movement).

There is a Fighter variant in my Varient Systems thread, if that's what you are looking for.

It's pretty much done but I'm always trying to think of more Fighting Styles to expand that.

Realms of Chaos did a really nice fighter fix here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140278)

and Fax Celestis' d20r system has some nice things for martial characters. The Dreadnaught (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99504), basically an unstoppable brawler; The Fencer (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100936), a stylish warrior of finesse; The Warlord (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99522), a leader marshal-type class; The Hunter (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48591), basically a revamped scout; and then his d20r versions of The Monk (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98238), The Paladin (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33551), The Ranger (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101419) and The Rogue (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92221).
He also created a mechanic called Prowess, which was designed to boost melee characters. It was used in Investing Feats (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99519), and Style Feats (basically tactical feats where you buy each manoeuvre with prowess) including Beserk Sandworm (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120849), Leader's Obligation (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127879), and Brave Fencer (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120658). He really should make more of those, they were pretty cool .

In case you hadn't noticed... I like d20r

I'm currently working on creating a list of Class Features (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=160462) for Fighter themed characters.
I will turn it into a full class (with a table and everything!) when I'm done compiling the list.

Is the Augury thing at will? If so, that seems a little strong.

I always tend to prefer bonuses that go up in the smallest increments possible, rather than jumping around. IE if you have a +2 to something and then a +4 more than 1 level later, I like to see a +3 in between. Since WotC does not share this view, take this as you will.

I came up with this alternate fighter a few months ago:

The Badass Fighter Of Destiny (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150257)

In retrospect there are a few small things I would change about the class to reduce the need for DM adjudication, but for the most part I think it's a pretty solid recreation of a pulp barbarian hero.

This post (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8898668&postcount=4) from my TDD project (that no one liked) has two warrior PrCs. The Lord has some balance issues, so you can ignore it, but the Pit Fighter is pretty much exactly what you're looking for here.

I don't have much else though, sorry. :smallfrown:

I also made this small bullfighter prestige class (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117441). In exchange for using the total defense action you gain a bonus to attack and damage the following round. So essentially you only attack every other round with the class.
