Is there a handbook for writing a handbook? Advice is also welcome.

I would like to write a handbook about familiars. I know there already is a good one, but I would like to make my own. Does anyone have advice on how to write/format a handbook? Is there something you want my handbook to talk about concerning familiars?

IIRC there is already a familiar/animal companion handbook, or at least a section in another handbook(s) on such.

If I were you, I'd choose a handbook I respected, copy the layout, and make sure to note down the topics I considered most relevant, and probably a few just for S&G's.

Then plug in relevant data, and shazam! Handbook!

There is a handbook for handbooks, but I don't know where it is. I checked BG already.
