One of the circling shadows sprang up, before forming a dark barrier behind the gentleman; well, "dark" might not be the right word. "Pitch-black" might be better; it seemed to actively absorb light from the surroundings. "Now then, sir, I shall tribute my face-down Grave Squirmer, sir, in order to summon the righteous and honourable Caius, the Shadow Monarch." The shadow that had held the Grave Squirmer was devoured by a shadow leaving the feet of the hidden man. It became a ferocious man, clad in dark armour.

"He deigns that your face-down monster to be a disgrace; he shall remove it from play with the utmost haste." The monarch gestured; the shadow that held the face-down monster promptly turned upon the hidden. The monster vanished unto the ether. "If it was a DARK monster, you shall take damage tenfold upon what the hick from the Styx could perform! And now, my honourable lord shall strike you at your heart; please enjoy the damage you take." (Total damage: -2400LP/-3400LP) "I shall end my turn now, good sir. Would you care for a ginger biscuit?"

"I shall set one card face-down," and as he spoke, a shadow detached from the group and took up a position. "And furthermore, my Security secretary shall move into attack position; he will, as they say, have a stab at your monster. Whether or not he succeeds, I end my turn. One must keep another on their toes; do you not agree, sir?"

One of the shadows circling Caliga broke away from him; stood behind Caliga, before growing in size; it broke the dimensional barrier, enjoying the third as well as the first and second. It grew into a size far greater than the players, becoming the outline of Raviel; as it ceased it's growth, Caliga stepped backwards, into it's shadow; from the place he entered, colour began to spread like a ripple. As the colour spread to the magnificent chest of Raviel, a curious outgrowth emerged from it; it was in the shape of a man. As the colour reached the outgrowth, it became clear that it was the shadowy form that was Caliga.

"Ah... it feels like taking your shoes off after a long day of work." The colour reached the tips of Raviel's horns; it grinned. The monstorus shadow flickered, as the shadow of the Raviel/Caliga composite began to circle it's feet.
