I was wondering if anyone who has more artistic skill than me (ie, anyone with more skill than a dead marmoset) could see their way to making some small piece of art for this, only if you have spare time.

link here. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159734)

Would like (not necessary):Goggles, something to represent naturalists, engineers, alchemists, etc. Try to make them look more like a journeyman than a lab tech. Da Vinci, not Dalton.

Really hope I'm not imposing. If this is against usual etiquette, someone please tell me.

I'll do a quick sketch for you if you'd like. Here's a link to some of my other stuff too: http://batfan1989.deviantart.com/

That'd be lovely.

Here's my first attempt at the Polymath: http://batfan1989.deviantart.com/art/Polymath-WIP-174069679. If you'd like something different don't be afraid to say so.

Maybe a bit less mystic. More workman than wizard. And good use with the telekinesis. Try to work a vest in.

Sure thing. I'll make up another sketch.

Here's my second attempt at the Polymath: http://batfan1989.deviantart.com/art/Polymath-Take-2-WIP-174071812. I'm sorry for the roughness of the artwork, but it should look much smoother after I ink it.

Just for good measure here's another attempt at the Polymath: http://batfan1989.deviantart.com/art/Polymath-Take-3-WIP-174082919.

Edit: I hope you don't mind, but I added a link to your Polymath class so people can take a look if they're curious about the pictures. Also here's the same character in another pose: http://batfan1989.deviantart.com/art/Polymath-Take-4-WIP-174091331.

Wow. Things like this make me wish I could draw.

And maybe some sleeves.

Zach J.

Sure thing! Are you ok with the character other than me adding some sleeves? Would you like me to alter one of the existing drawings or would you like a different pose?

Maybe no hat, and a shirt.

Here's a link to my latest take on the Polymath:http://batfan1989.deviantart.com/art/Polymath-Take-5-WIP-174138072. This is a very rough sketch so there are still some things that I'll work out for the final version, but it should give you an idea of whether you like it or not.

Put a collar on the shirt, and it's perfect.

Something like this perhaps: http://batfan1989.deviantart.com/art/Polymath-Take-5-WIP-174138072?

Edit: Fixed the link. Sorry about that.

That...is perfect. I really hope all of this didn't take up too much of your time.

Not at all. I had a blast doing it, he turned out to be a very fun character to draw. I've run out of inking supplies at the moment, but I'll put up a finished copy as soon as I can. Sound good?

Yeah, that'd be great. Thanks!

No problem. Just be sure to recommend me to all your friends. :smallwink:

Here are the finished pencils: http://batfan1989.deviantart.com/art/Polymath-Finished-Pencils-174175530#/d2vp6p6. I have a friend who has agreed to digitally ink this.

I have to say, I'm impressed by the lengths you're going to. I'm really thankful. Except now I wish I had a way to say that without sounding cheesy.

Zach J.
2010-08-05, 10:24 PM
Ah, don't worry about it. This is the first time I've done this so I'm just glad you've been so patient.

The Pressman
2010-08-05, 10:35 PM
Patient? I'm amazed you work so quickly.

Zach J.
2010-08-05, 10:35 PM
Haha, I've always been a pretty impatient person so I had to learn how to draw quickly. :smallwink:

Do you know what colors they're going to ink it with?

Zach J.
2010-08-06, 05:15 PM
Hmm, I haven't talked to her about the colors. What did you have in mind?

The Pressman
2010-08-06, 05:19 PM
brownish hair, brass goggles (yellowy-orangish), probably green liquid, dark brown vest, Grayish-green shirt, tannish skin. I think that's it.

Zach J.
2010-08-06, 05:20 PM
I'll make sure to tell her. I think she was going to ink it tonight. If she does I'll make sure to send you it.
