There seems to be a slight problem for the sci-fi campaign I'm about to join. A lack of sci-fi minis. The DM is hoping to avoid using star wars mini's for multiple reasons, most of which involve trying to keep the players from thinking the game is a star wars game. I was hoping someone on these boards might know of a game or set or manufacturer with sci-fi mini's.

Could always use warhammer40k miniatures if you don't mind painting and crafting (personally I consider that a plus).

I get mine from Reaper. Limited selection sure, but they're a good product.

We thought about 40k, but those things are like 20 bucks for a pack of five for any of the better ones.

I don't think he's interested in the mini's that require painting, which limits things a little more like reaper.
