If asked as a DM or designer... would you add the Autohypnosis skill to the skill lists for the Monk and Ninja classes?

Looking for a broad portion to get a solid representation of public opinion.

Monks? Probably. Ninjas? No.

I'd say yes on both counts.

Sounds like a fairly solid plan for the both of them.

Just don't add it to the Swordsage skill list. It's more out of place there, I'd say, and you don't want to add even more stuff to a class emulating the Monk while you're trying to give the Monk an extra edge.

I'd let a Monk have it (that sounds like a pretty good idea, actually), but not a Ninja. It just doesn't work for me. YMMV.

Monk? Yes.
Ninja? Don't know enough about the specifics of the class.
Sword-sage? ...just doesn't seem to fit to me.

Swordsage already has it, fluff-wise. They called it Diamond Mind.

I'd also agree that it works for the Monk, but not for the Ninja. The Ninja class is similar to the Monk class, but focuses less on "mind over body" than the Monk class does. I am not positive about the Swordsage, but I would guess that they will be fine without it. :smallamused:

For the monk, I already did (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150122).
For the ninja, no. A ninja's real power skill ought to be UMD, so he could do the unexpected.

For the monk, I'd say '1'. It certainly deserves it.

I don't really believe in the ninja as a class in its own right, any more than pirate should be, so I'll put an 'X' there. For the rogue, I'd probably say '0', however.
