IT'S ****ING SHARKTOPUS, BABY! (http://livefeed.hollywoodreporter.com/2010/07/syfy-sharktopus-trailer-video-.html)

http://coltmonday.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/sharktopus3.jpg

Roger Corman, Producer and creator of such classics as Dinoshark, BloodFist 2050, and Dinocroc, among others, has announced his Magnum Opus, Sharktopus.

50% Shark, 50% Octopus, 100% Killing Machine. It's ****ing Sharktopus.

No idea when it's coming out, but rest assured I shall be broadcasting this masterpiece just as I did with Dinoshark, Mothman, Mongolian Death Worms, and the rest of the SyFy Original MASTERPIECES.

Best movie ever.

I disagree with your thread title. Clearly, it is both an Octopus and a Shark.

Could it also be a Squark? (Squid+Shark)

Ah, Roger Corman movies. Always delightfully terrible.

Actually, since it's part shark, it predicts meteor showers instead.

Even better: it can determine who is going to win the next World Cup. Unfortunately the answer is, "Nobody, because everyone was eaten by a sharktopus."

Can we have a

If we put an England shirt on it we might have a chance next time around:smallsmile:

It ate everybody.

Soccer really isn't a sport well-suited for a sharktopus' talents. Maybe tennis?

Sharktopus seems like more of a rugby player IMO.

I was quite a fan of Ice Spiders and The Dunwitch Horror, myself. :smallamused:

I like SciFi SyFy (:smallyuk:) Original Movies, usually. While some of them just don't interest me, the ones that do are usually entertaining. They may not be good, but they're a fun watch because its either mindless fun or just so bad its good. :smalltongue: I mean, how can you not enjoy a movie about a frozen Wooly Mammoth being brought back to life by aliens so it can go around stealing people's souls?

I loved that one, it's definitely in the top ten, though it can't stand up to the Mothman moving through reflective surfaces to bring justice to innocent bystanders and being weak to daylight in one scene but no others.

Ah, but if the sharktopus eats all the other teams then surely it will win by default! :smallwink:

Um this creature is actually in the D&D Monster Manual. Not sure for what edition, but it is in there together with Owlbears and Sealions (lion with fish tails).

It was so clear. A wizard did it.

As far as scary mix of animals go, I'd put my money on a swarm of Hummingbird/Pirhanas.

Nothing can stop them.

Those are called Dworcs. And important distinction.

Now, just don't ask about Dwelves.

I'm assuming it's a cross between a beak and a shark mouth, with a ring of shark teeth being the beaky parts. Roger Corman actually had an hour long meeting trying to figure out the biology of a Sharktopus. He's my hero.

The man is a legend for a reason. He embraced the ridiculousness long ago and built an empire.
