Alistair takes one look at the creatures and begins thumbing through an ancient text you recognize as his spellbook/field guide, a thick tome that seems too heavy for the aging man to carry.

"Donkeys," he mutters to noone in particular, "chipmunks, cougars, dalmations, dolphins...ah yes, donkeys! Hmm, they seem a rather dull bunch. Not too much terribly fascinating information, I'm afraid. Did you know a donkey is stronger than a horse of the same size?"

Isaac will move to H14 and ready an action.
Isaac will cast DC 16 Grease (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/grease.htm) if any donkey attempts to charge over the bridge. Additionally, Isaac's Cloudy Conjuration feat will create a caustic cloud of smoke on the space that the first donkey passes through. That donkey will received the Sickened condition, and therefore a -2 to saves, attack rolls, damage rolls, and skill & ability checks, as will any other creature who enters the space. It lasts for one round.

If successful (DC 10), I intend to have Richard in K8, perhaps with some kind of readied action? I don't know exactly how much control I have over his actions. If I can dictate them pretty precisely, I'd like him to be readying an action to bite anyone who attacks me in melee.

I vote against using a rest. The only major resource we've used are Richard's hit points, Mage Armors, and Inspire Courage.

Query: How long does a spell or effect have to last to carry over to the next battle? Basically, how much time passes between battles, barring rests?

Did druid boy prepare spells i.e only one cure minor wounds. So not alot. Cladius why only one Cure minor wounds, you're the only healer?

Well *^&$. They just about killed the other healer, and I was planning on taking Cure Light Wounds at level up, because like it or not, someone needs to patch up everyone else between battles. May I request that we rest before the next battle?

Yeah, sorry about the lack of healing. I noticed that mistake early on, but I figured my spell list was set in stone once I submitted the sheet.

Is it possible to tell whether a creature has stabilized? Like with a Heal or Spot check or something? If so:

He then commands Richard to attack the Aasimar in J8:

Oh, but I do. The Rapid Summoning variant from Unearthed Arcana let me trade in my familiar to cast summon monster spells as a standard action. Furthermore, these summoned creatures get a standard action in the round they appear.
