I was just wondering at work who is the greatest real life theif of all time, then I realized that the greatest theives would be unknown, so then I thought what was the greatest theft in all of history.

I found that in 1911 the mona lisa was stolen by a man named Vincenzo Peruggia.

I was wondering if the playground had a favorite historical theif or heist.

There's always good ol' Prom (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus), who probably counts as one of the greatest thiefs by virtue of being a Titan. I'm not sure if he counts as historical, though.

According to the media industry, Kevin Smith, 16, serial copyright infringer, is one of the greatest threat to society, freedom, equality, family, kittens, and all that is pure and good.

There's also J. K. Rowling, who stole billions of pounds from Nancy Stouffer, author of The Legend of Rah and the Muggles.
