Awww yeah.
I have been seeing Avatar: the last airbender (because I simply could not believe that cartoon that The Last Airbender was based on could be that crappy) and in the serie I saw one man... One man who was more epic than anyone I have ever seen. A man who loved tea more than anything.
A man that went from an old fat man to an old muscular badass.
All while being in a small prison-cage and eating bread or something.

I say that we should all post something that would help us creating the "Iroh Training Program" and I will start

100 push-ups with claps (or whatever it is called)

Isn't that a little extreme for a beginner?

If you want to be epic like him...
Start by growing a beard like his

Hmm an Iroh beard.. How long would it take to grow such a magnificent one?
A couple of years?

That would be even more epic than Iroh
Because it's chuck norris

Play Pai Sho (or analogous strategy game) daily, to focus the mind.

If you're wanting to look like that (which in non-cartoon terms is more like Stallone, Van Damme, or pretty much any 80's action hero besides Schwarzenegger, who was much more muscular), you're going to want to be pushing lead, not doing push-ups.

Not that doing push-ups is bad, but weight training is going to get you the results your looking for faster. Also, starting out with 100 clap pushups (or 100 normal pushups) is going to burn you out before you hit the first 30 unless you're already in good shape.

Being Iroh is really much more about philosophy. Though he is an amazing warrior, his true strength lies in his philosophy. I actually think that most of his philosophies are pretty good to go by.

Drink tea, chill out, take everything with a grain of salt, etc.

He's supposed to be the greatest non-avatar firebender of the series, I think. He's also supposed to be the greatest person in the series, which you can tell by the way he is constantly humble, constantly in control of himself, and constantly caring.

So yeah. Greatest warrior, greater man.

YES.

I am am dressing as Iroh for Halloween, now. (Also cosplaying whenever I get the chance.) Too bad I can only grow half a beard... I'll have to buy one. :smallannoyed:

So what do I have to do to get abs like that? Should I start with 1000 sit-ups?

Would chess count?

You're either...
A) You're joking.
B) Still missing the point. You can't just do an insane number of reps. It's impossible at a beginner's level and it's not the real way to achieve it. You have to diet right too and do things in moderation.

I read that and downloaded a Shogi program. I need to relearn it. I just remember what the pieces do and no real strategy.
