Youtube: Now can play Snake

3, Hold left arrow key for a few seconds.

4, Oh god what.

Doesn't seem to work in Firefox.Except it does, as I demonstrated to myself within the last five minutes. Did you remember to click the video before holding the arrow key? (If it's playing, it'll pause. If it's paused, it'll play.) Are you running the newest version of Firefox? (I am.)

Ah, ok- didn't realize I needed to click the video. I've always used the bottom bar for play/pause.

I tried it out on a few more videos, I get it now.

Basically, hold down the arrow keys and you get a line of dots under your control over a video. Dumb little minigame YouTube put in to make the site more hassle-full as well as take up bandwidth.

I tried it twice. Didn't work on A Very Potter Sequel Act 2 Part 7, but it did work on Metal Gear Solid theme linked above.

But it's awesome.

Figured this was important public knowledge that needed to be shared with the masses.

If you pause a video on Youtube (it has to be one with a sideways volume control) and hold the left arrow for a couple of seconds (you're video will skip back a bit) a moving line will appear, and you can play Snake; the classic mobile phone game on your Youtube screen.

If you're feeling really hardcore you can even continue the video and watch whilst you play.

I heard today that uTorrent, a popular torrenting application has tetris built in so you can amuse yourself while you do a quick download.

It makes me feel REALLY old to point this out, but you do know snake was around LONG before cell phones had games, right? I have it on an old PC that runs Windows 3.1, and I've seen arcade games of it.
