if you have both rage and frenzy class abilities and also have the bear warrior prc how would they stack if you raged and frenzied would you get the bear warrior stats twice?

for example:
rage and frenzy as a 5th level bear warrior would you get the +16str +2dex and +8con twice for a total of +32str +4dex and +16con?

I did this once. They do stack you get the bonuses from the bear warrior class and then the bonuses from frenzied berserker stack with that.

Turning into a bear replaces rage, but frenzy is an entirely separate ability.

I didn't think you could have rage and frenzy active at the same time.

Ahh, Frenzied berserker, not an alternate rage-type, sorry.

seems like as long as they are seperate abilities they should stack

although them being untyped might cause some interference

the bear should just alter your base stats

Turning into a bear would give up all the Frenzied Berserker's useful class featuers, though, as you can't wield a weapon while in it and you lose BAB by entering Bear Warrior. :smallannoyed:

Mouthpick weapon, problem solved.

No you don't.

Hmm, sorry, wrote it out of memory. Strange though, I recalled it being 3/4 BAB. :smallannoyed:

Yeah, but you're still not using two hands to get that juicy buffed up power attack bonus.

There's a similar rage PrC in Deities and Demigods. That may be about what you are thinking. That or the old 3.0 version of Bear Warrior.

Yeah, but you're still not using two hands to get that juicy buffed up power attack bonus.

I believe mouthpicks count as being two-handed for things like that, but I am not certain.

On another note, the text for the Bear Warrior's rage-replacement suggests that you can use any rage/frenzy analog, so even though you need rage rage to actually enter the class, you could use a Shifter's shifting ability to bear-out.

True, but that doesn't make Frenzied Berzerker useless, it just makes it a little less shiny. And as pointed out, you can PA with natural weapons, so you Shock Trooper Charge your enemies and kill them with your bear hands.

To be fair, we've bearly broken the surface of this beast. Unfortunately, all bears eventually become Bearington with what is essentially the same build. I say we should start something new.

We can rebuild him!

Agreed, the forum might not be able to bear another iteration of Bearington Bearman the Bearbarian.

To be fair, I think most of his incarnations shun the frenzied berserker, so I think we may have just bearly avoided that one if we can return to the topic at hand. Or just beary it.

Let's not forget what were talking about here:

It's a giant bear with an insanely strength that can go well into the negative HP and keep fighting. If we could find a way to make it breath fire and it'll be perfect..

One dip in Dragonfire Adept can do that.

Screw that noise! Grab leadership and get a Dragonfire Inspiration bard cohort. Now whenever you bite, you spite fire on them, too!

With a four-level dip in Pyrokeneticist, you can shoot flame bolts lazerz from his eyes!

So I propose an idea: do we shoot for more bear, more fire, or more rage?

Traditionally, Bearington optimizes BEAR, so let's go for optimizing the Fire this time instead.
