The Pale Master is, I've heard an old favorite too many people and I'm finding it quite interesting as well, at least flavor wise.

There was one thing that puzzeled me however, this being the undead cohort ability. It states that it only grants a cohort and no followers. I was wondering if I took the Undead Leadership feat, would it stack, giving me two cohorts, or would it only add the followers too the ranks?

Or... and this is my guess, is this a DM decision?

I would assume it works much like the enchanter variant from Unearthed Arcana in which they exchange a familiar for a cohort. If you buy Undead Leadership, you gain followers but have only a single cohort. However, you immediately qualify for the "Special Power" modifier and gain a +2 bonus on your Leadership score, possibly upgrading your cohort along with it.

Pale Master, as fun an idea as it is, is a pretty terrible class, sadly.
