I remember seeing something brought up in a thread where the Treantmonk guide to being a GOD Wizard was brought up, a series of mini-guides to the schools of magic that offered a cost-benefit analysis of banning or specializing in them and also provided the highlights/top picks/best spells from the school in addition to some tactical musing.

Anyone have the links to those? My google-fu has failed me. :smallfrown:

Mostly I want to show the Illusion and Enchantment ones to my friend who is learning to play Beguiler what with being new to the casting system. Any resources other than this handbook (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19872218/-_The_New_Beguiler_Handbook_-_2008) to point him towards would be appreciated as well.

Well, here's an alleged compilation of Treantmonk's guides:
Link. (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=394.0)

This includes his mini guides on the illusion and enchantment schools.

Well let's see.

Google: "Treantmonk Illusion" (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19871874/Treantmonks_guide_to_Illusion:_Gods_Tools)

Google: "Treantmonk Enchantment" (http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19869066/Treantmonks_guide_to_Enchantment:_Gods_tools)

Oh. No wonder I associated them with him. He did that too. *facepalm*

Well, thank you for that.
