I can't verify the credibility of this article (http://www.themedguru.com/20091206/newsfeature/stare-boobs-longer-life-study-86131320.html)

But I am terribly amused by the concept.

Whenever I hear cleavage in a scientific context I assume that they are talking about this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleavage_%28embryo%29) while simultaneously making a boob joke. Nice to see someone cut out the middle man.

(additionally, you could start a salicylic acid regiment and get comparable results [talk to your doctor] then again if you get caught looking at a woman, "trying to gain immortality" would be an interesting defense)

Normally, I would post this on Facebook. But that would be wiiieerd.

So...10 minutes of looking at boobs = 30 minute aerobics workout?

Why would anyone in the right mind want to refute that?

You heard it first here: Ladies, do your part for the greater good of all malekind, wear your v-necks and cleavage tops.

It take ten minutes of staring at 'em, though. Not really practical unless you've already got a regular supply.

Yeah . . . call me crazy, but something makes me doubt that a bit. I think I'll need a bit more evidence than "some unnamed, un-described German study said so". :smallwink:

I guess we need to find other explanation for the Medieval age's short lifespan, sickness maybe?

Man One: Whatcha doing
Man Two: Increasing my lifespan
Man One: You do realize that hasn't been proven at all?
Man Two: On the contrary it's very well documented.
Man One: What? Where?
Man Two: Ask anyone. Everyone knows that the Placebo Effect is a powerful thing.

"Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female, is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out."
What if you do both at the same time? Do the effects add or multiply?

I have this mental picture of someone walking into a Gym and seeing a man jogging on a treadmill, giggling while staring at a naked woman, and then slowly retreating from the room hoping the other two don't see him...

Every time I hear "cleavage" my mind goes back to year 9 geology, where we were told about perfect cleavage, imperfect cleavage, and cubic cleavage. Heh.

As for the placebos...I can't see this catching on. "Boy, my placebos are feeling odd today" "o.0?"

Well, you know, "placebo" is Latin for "I shall please". Sounds dead-on to me...

:smallwink: Slightly different thing being referred to. Though the real joy is in being suggestive of multiple possible things...

Sort of a Schrodinger's Innuendo, only with more than 2 possibilities to collapse the wave-form into with context....

You need an antivirus... and a firewall, and another systems sweep. You shouldn't be getting viruses left and right from sites like Snopes.

No, it confirms that oggling bodies is good.

Cleavage is still inferior to flat chests.
