From all walks of life, power flourishes. From Dominaria, to Ravnica, and Alara to Zendikar; Power indeed grows. Even in the darker corners of the multiverse, such as Grixis or Phyrexia, where rivers of blood and oil flow freely across scarred landscapes. Power comes together. But what of that which lies beyond the multiverse? Within the blind eternies, power sleeps, and in it's slumber it to grows. But look past this, look past the string and wires of the multiverse, look beyond the AEther, and what of power then? Only one planeswalker had ever made it to such a place. A feat so unheard of, walking within the blind eternities and surviving. Indeed even going so far as to walk THROUGH the AEther, and into worlds yet undiscovered by mortal.

This, I will say, is what lies beyond the AEther. Beyond the Beyond, past nameless things of horror and wonder. These are the chronicles of lost worlds......

Players that will be playing.

Within the crowded streets of Ravnica, power lies. Within being's simply known as, planeswalkers, great power is carried. These beings, while rare, have a tendency to flock to one-another. Whether in times of chaos, or peace. Whever planeswalker's go, trouble is sure to follow.

Chase- Theft! Really...they accuse YOU of theft? Well, not like there's much time for talk now. You run along the heavily crowded "tin street", trying to out maneuver some gaurds who seem to have mistaken you for a petty thief. The men seem to be nothing more then simple soilders, hardly a challenge for one of your magnitude. However with so many people around, things could get tricky.

To one side of you is a majestic lack, rippling with beautiful crystal blue water. Many fountains lie within the lack, allowing the water to dance and roil in an almost litteral sense.

The street itself is beautiful, the area is very clean and well kept. The people all seem to be of high caliber, few homeless litter the walks. And behind you, just so happens to be two burly humans, adorned in red and white armor, signature of the boros legion.

Nissus Varifen- Any city has it's secrets, and those who would have those secrets remain so would pay dearly. So dearly, in fact that a band of such men would attempt such a petty thing. An ambush, in a dark alley. Not nescessarily foolish, but then again, these cloaked figures don't know what you truely are. Your not even entirely sure what you are yet. What you do know is that each and everyone of these men will be paying deerly for their mistake.

Six armed muggers have approached you in a dark alley. Each wear either a black or blue traveler's cloak and porceline mask to hide their identity. Each one equally weilds a simple, iron dagger.

Ciaphas Bertrem- You stalk the dark underbelly of ravnica. Word of rare finds, and tales of impossible discoveries reaching your ears. It seems that, somewhere, in the depths of ravnica, there lies a guild. Although this isen't completely uncommon knowledge, up till now, the guild of Dimir has simply been a rumor. But you stalk the pandemonium swept streets, looking for any revelation towards the madness that would consume the seedy people of this place. A promise of POWER and RICHES were made to those who would will it, and seek out the dimir's guildhouse. A bold move, to be advertising of your once-rumored guilds secrets organization's location. What are they playing at? And what do they wish to obtain through this blatant revelation and abuse of man's weak psyche?

Ketolani- House Dimir had revealed itself to the people! Why would they do this, how could they do it. Although, it's not as if it mattered. All the advertisements and paranoid propaganda achieved was to turn ravnica's slums into a pandamonium swept madhouse! Promises of RICHES and POWER had made many a man seek out the infamous Dimir Guildhalls. So far to no avail. So far no one has met with the guild's challenge. No man has yet located this mysterious place. And in truth, no man really would.

You were called apon, you were needed for a special "mission". It seems that someone in the guild, no doubt someone of considerable influence, has been the stem of these blasphimous calls and rumors. The challenge to prove the existance of house Dimir, simply a hoax brought on by one of their rogue members. It was now your job to take them out, by Any....Meens...Nescessary....

Equilor is a place of age and power. Much of everything will wash up within equilor, and it's inhabitants will know of it. But what is to become of such a place, in it's aging state. Will it simply join with the aether, it's knowledges lost for all time, or perhaps it will fade away, to a land well outside of all known reality. This is a place of powerful knowledge, and dark secrets. This is a place where the call that stretches from beyond the blind eternities is strongest. This is the place, where you have come.

??? (lix lorn)- You stand on a sandy beach. The grains sticking to every bit of your legs. On the horizon you see glorious mountain peaks. Great constructs of such age and wonder that any mortal man who would look apon them would die from astonishment. Why you had come here, your unsure. What you were sure of was the call. That mysterious voice in the back of your mind, which fuels your connection with the aether, and allows you to draw apon mana. That voice is alot stronger now, you can feel it pulling you towards these peaks. The trek will be long and ardous, but the rewards may be GRAND!

At he far end of both the left and right horizons of the beach you see two other figures. One at each end, meerly shadows at this distance. You know too well that mortals have little meens to come to this plane. Whoever, or whatever these strangers may be, they are nothing short of powerful.

Gyrax- Equilor is a place of long lost knowledge and power. You know all to well where you stand, and what plane it is. You know for a fact just how far you are from the center of the multiverse, and how slow time must move out here. But what you don't know, is why you have come here. The sirene call that has haunted you for decades now speaks strongest here. It leads your every step, it guides you to something greater!

Your feet move casually across the sandy beach. The ocean seems to wash out far more frequently then when the tide chooses to come in. Another sign of the planes old age, such that it's "breathing" has slowed considerably.

On the sands you can see another. Two others, to be exact. Figures in the distance, human in shape. To the north are powerful and aged mountain peaks. It is on these peaks you feel the call originating from. It is at this point in the horizon you feel you must be. It is there, that power and knowledge gathers so freely.

Fenix Godoy- It is along a thin stretch of sand, on a cloudy, restful day that you find yourself. It is along these sands, that you find yourself within the plane of Equilor. Such a long lost place. One that has rarely seen men of both mortal and divine accent. In the distance are two other figures, both are simply shadows and blotches on the horizon. For whatever reason, it is no coincidence you've appeared here, in such an ancient land. It is also no coincidence others would come to this world the same time you would. Rather it is the call. A very veiled sound you've heard. Up until now it's been nothing but a whisper in the back of your mind. But now, it's is a far cry, leading through the jungles and bogs of equilor, and originating from the tallest peak of the oldest mountains within the planes. The sirene call pulls you, closer and closer to something great. Whatever that may be....

Yasen Tal- You stand atop a small glade, a dusty wind blowing past you. You are on the plane of equilor, a land lost to many, it's secrets and ages ripe for the picking. To the south is a stretch of sandy beaches, to the north an intimidating mountain face. The ancient rocks seem to pierce you soul. The siren call that has haunted you for so long eminates from those peaks. Whatever secrets they may hold, they are yours to plunder, your's to behold, your's to master.
Happy planeswaking!

"Weird place..."
He thinks, taking some of the sands in his hand and dropping them into the ground again. Then takes a look at the rest. Two shadows were farther, maybe he should try to see who they were. But before he keeps looking around until he notices that he was somewhat crying. That was a place where very few have ever stepped.Only his subconscious noticed that, and he shed some tears without noticing.A couple seconds later, though, he dries his eyes and goes back to the usual coldness. That voice was there again, but now it was way more than whispers. And he somehow knew that it came from those mountains

"Why do you call me to that peak...I'll go there and find out!

He takes a step but stops and thinks better. There were another persons,he remenbered that,he should speak to them, maybe gather allies for the moment. He did not like to ignore that eerie sound in his mind, telling him where to go,as that was torturing. But he would have to stand for now.He needed to find out who were those mysterious shadows and what they wanted there.Taking another look at the mountains,he takes a deep breath with his eyes closed. And starts to walk towards the closest shadow with a smirk

Yasen Tal smiles happily, his small face splitting apart with his grin. He looks between the beach and the mountains for a minute, trying to decide where he wants to go. After a few minutes of contemplation, he makes up his mind. Yasen interlaces his fingers and stretches them forward, cracking them, and then stretches his back until it gives a satisfying series of pops.

Another day, another new world to explore.

Turning to the north, Yasen dusts off the white and gray parts of his attire, ignoring the blacks which were much harder to stain. Satisfied, he sets off at a leisurely pace towards the mountains. There's no rush, after all. It's a day just like any other.

The clear waters and blue skies of this ancient plane would be breathtaking to most mortals who stepped foot on it's sandy shores. However to Gyrax, it was far from beautiful. To him, this natural world was a reflection of countless people he had met...weak and frail. He knew full well the power this world offers those who seek it Planeswalkers should be dominating whole worlds by now, seeing everything that washes up in this enigmatic world. Yet they all have failed to do so. He however, was different. Gyrax had felt the call from this world and he knew it was no mistake. He could feel himself being lead closer and closer to unlimited power. Closer to his goal of total domination.

The Phyrexian Monstrosity walked casually through the sand, his nine, spinal cord-esc tails waving behind him as he walked. The fresh seaside breeze would be a comfort to most, but to the Prince of Machines it was nothing more then an annoyance. To him the smells of ichor and blood and the wafting fumes of industry where the "natural forces" to draw comfort from. This place is so ripe with power yet countless people fail to seize it...What fools...Once I get my hands on whatever is in those peeks this place will make a fine land to pillage and convert.. Gyrax thought in his mind.

He noticed two figures in the distance. Unlike his monstrous self, they where easily identified as humans. So others too have sensed the power here, Interesting. It looks as if there are more pieces to take as my own...This should be even more entertaining then I expected. The lord of phyrexia thought to himself as he noticed the two other figures. He walked towards them, his sinister mind musing on how to sway them to his side.

Nissus' arm suddenly flares with white light at the sight of their weapons. Realizing what these men were trying to do, he is forced to take some measure to defend himself. He raises his right hand, and the wall to his right glows with power, each brick outlined with the same light. He quickly swats his glowing arm to the left, and the wall seems to follow, crushing the men on the left side of the alleyway. Of course he does not kill the men, but merely entraps them. "Stay here while I find the proper authorities." And at that he spreads his wings and flies out of the alley in search of some sort of authority figure.

Well, I suppose I could play for a bit. Chase thinks to himself, as he dodges past an oncoming couple. Let's see how badly they want to catch me

He was catching a lot of weird looks, but whether it was because of the guards chasing him, the small arcs of electricity jumping between his fingers, or both, was hard to tell. Even though Chase was in good shape, and the guards wore heavy armor, they were gaining slightly on him.

He made a sharp turn, ran between to stalls, and continued into an alley. The guards were still on his tail. Looking up, Chase realized that the alley was a dead end. Perfect. Focusing mana through his legs and into the ground, Chase launched himself into the air. His face split apart in a grin as he felt the mana flow, and landed his jump (http://magiccards.info/al/en/61.html) on the rooftop. He wiped the sweat from his brow and let his hand slide through his dark blonde hair, before crossing a couple of roofs, looking for a suitable place to jump down.

Secret's immediate instinct was to dash towards the peaks, but even she had more sense than that-if barely.
She could feel that there were several others nearby-she could see two of them, barely shadows. 'walkers, they must be. It was all but impossible for a mortal to come here.

Well, maybe, she mused, they'd help. If not, a duel might be fun.

With a twist of mana, she canged her form slightly, adopting an angelic appearance, little changing other than the appearance of two great, white, feathered wings.

She pointed a finger at the ground, a small dart of heat blasting a small crater there. One side of the crater was elongated, in the shape of a dewdrop. It pointed to one of the figures.

"Him it is then." she said aloud, cheerfully. She leapt up, flexing her wings, and flew off.

It was a simply thing for Ket, really. Clad in black leathers and armed with an elven scimitar she had been gifted at the safehold, it wasn't difficult for her to pass as a freelancer mercenary. She strode the streets with confidence, watching the crowd for suspicious behavior. Her ears, however, were watchful for those who spoke of their search for House Dimir.

Whenever someone spoke of House Dimir, they would be met with a simple process. Ket's mind would wander to either the rivers of Lorwyn or the port city of Rishada, calling up blue mana from another world. A harmless glance into the target's mind, collecting memories of how they came across the information that had put them on their search. Then black mana from Deepwood and the Undercity would wipe away any memory of the intrusion, the only outward sign of the castings being a focused gaze.

It would only be a matter of time before Ket found a pattern, or an anomoly.

Fenix Godoy/Gyrax/Emily???-
Each of you move along the beach, at your own leisure. And in moments you come face to face with the other figures. Each of them, unique to in their own way. Each of you, powerful in your own way. Each of you, monstrous in your own way.

Too quickly a fog bank rolls in. The area has become shrouded, although you've still seen the others fully. And you can still see each other, but only vageuly.

Yasen- The treck north will be a tiring one, that much is clear. You set off through the tranquil planes, each gust of wind causing the grass to wave back and forth. The walk was almost peaceful, if not for the sudden impact of glaciers trying to impale you!

It seems that, periodically, the aether gathers in places, and from what your seeing here, it binds and turns into a solid substance. The substance is very closely similar to ice, however you are sure that touching this ice would be far more deadly.

Glacier and massive glacier sprout from both the land and the sky. You are forced to move out of the way as the material comes crashing at you, only to dissapate back into mana once more.

Ketolani- First your mind carries off to the tranquility of the ocean. And then, it tears through the underbelly of ravnica, searching for that one, savory psyche that it may plunder. And in time it finds it, or rather, them. With such a huge expendature of effort and mana you DO manage to find those who would jeopordise house Dimir's secrecy. There are five of them, each in seperate parts of ravnica's slums and in the undercity. You can see into their minds, but only briefly. Each thought leads closer and closer to a unified being. There is a ring leader to all of this, even if you coulden't get an exact location on him.

The amount of effort and mana that took has drained you. Even if only slightly, you still feel a touch of fatigue setting in.

Nissus Varifen- As the wall spews itself outward, crushing each of the woefully untrained assailants under it's might, you rush off into the sky. Those muggers should be relitivly unharmed from your actions, which should give you ample time to sort things out with the authorities.

Only after a couple minutes do you find other Avens, each out patrolling the city skies. Each one obviously tied to the boros legion.

Chase- Your daring move of accrobatics does not go unnoticed. The gaurds are, at first, stunned by such an insane move. However, it seems to only make matters worse. Each of the two gaurds are apon the roof in seconds, having scalled the walls at an inhuman pace. This only alloted you a couple seconds for a breather. However, there is a bright side, the men no longer call you a thief, rather...

Halt Walker! Your comming with us!

Ciaphas - Group 1

Ciaphas moved through Ravnica with a purpose. There was word of a guild, the Dimir. He did not know where it might be - he was new to Ravnica. So he wandered, on vague directions. He was sure that if he just thought long enough, one of his many 'tagged' creatures or artifacts would be able to help him find the ellusive place.

Riches meant nothing; he had been rich and he had been poor, he had lived in desert palaces and scrabbled in the muck for food to survive.

Promises of new discoveries were... more interesting. He had been an artificer, once. That old fire for invention and discovery was still in him, banked and dim like a guttering candle flame but smoldering.

And power... well. Everyone liked power. Some desired it but never grasped it, some needed it for its own sake, some were thrust into it by circumstances beyond their control. He had more than enough of his own carefully hoarded secrets. What need did he have of others?

All power consumed. He had learned that before he had ever escaped his native homeworld of Dominaria.

It had been so very long since he'd had a purpose. This promised to be interesting.

((OOC: Wow, he's a maudlin bastard, isn't he?))

Wow, these guys mean business.

As the guards climb onto the roof, Chase is already jumping the gap to the next one. 'Why would I do that?' he shouts playfully back at them. This chase might just save an otherwise boring day from being a total waste.

Heading back towards Tin Street, Chase run across the roof, the guards still in hot pursuit. He jumps down on the top of an empty booth which falls over and smashes down onto the street. Chase, however, has already launched himself further and lands in a roll. He pushes through the shocked crowd, and makes his way towards the water. From the edge, he jumps onto one of the fountains, then turns around and lobs a globe of fire into the water, clouding the area in steam as he attempts to get to the other side.

Ket rubbed her brow, mentally fighting off the fatigue. She had people, locations... She had targets. She couldn't perform a scrying in a place where she needed her guard up, and she couldn't summon spirits to spy on targets in a conspicuous location. So, she made her way toward the nearest target, favoring Undercity routes. Collect some black mana, perhaps summon a spectre to scout ahead if she could get a moment alone. All she needed was one of the pieces to dismantle the puzzle.

Invisible spirits, a Dimir specialty.

DMBlackhart

Chase- Through the crowded streets you run, the two obnoxious soilders hot on your trail. If nothing else, the boros legion is determined, you gotta admit.

The gaurds are constantly right behind you, moving at insane speeds for their heavy plate armor. It's only at the lake when you gain some ground. Jumping to the first fountain is when things take a turn for the worse. A lightning bolt arcs through the sky, although you diden't catch it's origin, you did catch it's power.

The fountain your on is almost entirely obliterated, while you are tossed into the cold rippling waters. As the dizziness settles, you can see two figures dashing through the water at inhuman speeds. The guards are STILL after you, through both hell and horror and yet these facelss figures do not relent!

Ciaphas Bertrem- The underworld of ravnica is a seedy place. Made even more chaotic by these recent turn of events. Every man is running about the streets, some are trample through the chaos. Others are being mugged, and rioting and looting are strong. A few factions of the boros legion have worked their way into the chaos, trying to restore order.

You, however, are fortunate to avoid the detection of a particularly large group of legionarres. There are many places to check through the city for the tales of power, and at this rate you'd no doubt search for years. However, you, a planeswalker have an interesting advantage.

A little voice in the back of your head calls you. It's leading you to one of the many waterfronts in this part of ravnica. It calls you there. Perhaps it's a trick by a powerful mage? Or perhaps it's a secret waiting to be discovered.

Ketolani- You move through the undercity, working your way through the more private routes, avoiding the chaos and pandamonium swept up by this unsavory turn of events. It isen't long before you've spotted your target, a kithkin, about middle age. He seems to be preaching the same story over and ovr.

"Come one come all! House Dimir invites you to learn glorious secrets of the fabled assassins guild! What doesen't exist will soon be shown in the light for all to know! Look for the signet of Dimir! They will point the way to the fabled guild halls! "

The man is, woefully unprotected. You conjure up an invisible spirit, the perfect assassination tool. However your body has yet fully recovered from the immense strain of your previous casting.

Yasen Tal

Yasen emits a loud, strangled yelp as the two glaciers enfold him and nearly smash him between their titanic bulks. Imbuing himself with a surge of empowering White Mana, Yasen sprints out of the way and with a flying leap clears the impact zone before he is crushed. He bends over and breathes heavily for a few seconds, before standing upright and grinning even wider.

Wow, this place is fascinating.

He pauses for a second.

Still, this could be dangerous if I don't study it, and I'm itching to see what's in those mountains. So...

Calling easily upon his powers, Yasen draws forth a spring of White Mana, images of the endless plains around the Xa'Kor temple flying through his mind as he does so. This time, he manifests the power as a summoning spell, calling upon one of the many creatures he had seen on his travels. In a brilliant flash of light, a large, sleek Griffon (http://www.extensiveenterprisesonline.com/OnlineStore/images/tcgs/mtg/7ed/razorfoot_griffin.jpg) appears before Yasen. Although normally recalcitrant beasts, the Razorfoot is bound to Yasen's will and he mentally commands it to lay down. He gently mounts the Griffon, which then lifts off and soars towards the distant mountains at high speeds.

Feeling the air trembling with mana, Chase manages to dodge out of the way, just before the lightning bolt strikes it's target and throws him into the water. He gets up with a huge grin on his face. 'Geez, what have I done to you guys?'

Waist deep in water, and with soaked clothes, it seems impossible to outrun these guards. Fatalities wasn't part of the plan, but it seemed to have become unavoidable. The air sparkles and cracks around Chase as he prepares himself for a battle. 'I you wanna dance, you'd better bring more of that juice.' he shouts out, smiling almost maniacally at the expectation of more spells being flung.

DMBlackhart

Yasen Tal- The world around you seems to react apon your drawing of mana. The very moment your body is filled with the essence, moments before your mount comes into existence, more of the icy shards spike their way in your direction. It seems that, each time mana enters or exist the aging plane, random acts of energy like this manifest. A simple enough study. But was not so simple, was avoiding the massive columns of icy mana.

A signature of the icy monoliths is that, once they have appeared and then dissapated, they leave no damage behind in the land. Similar to how a fire would normally just appear, then fade, without scaring the atmosphere around it, except even the earth is exuded from the force of these shards of death.

Another pair of spiked monolith's comes your way, this time you're high in the sky. You swiftly maneuver them, however, as you come closer and closer to the clouds over head you find you have less and less energy. It coulden't be the altitude, most planeswalkers were resiliant to such trivial challenges.

Rather it is the fact the clouds are choking you. Not in so many words, rather the mist that makes the clouds is all too alive. Each speck of moisture tries it's hardest to drown you, intent on stiffling your air passages.

Nissus Varifen- You float to your fellow avens. They turn, a look of souless attention on their face. The legionarres of House Boros were always cynical in their upholding of the law, but this was down right mindless.

"Very good, lead the way civilian". The aven's say, following your pace.

Chase- You float lazily in the lake, tin road shimmering painfully in the bright sun. This would be relaxing, hell down right soothing, if it weren't for the two relentless juggernauts from the Boros legion after you.

This time there is no magic. If indeed the bolts of lightning originated from these men, they are too wise to try the same trick twice. Rather they continue their pace, comming at you at a startling rate. The first dives under water, while the other launches himself into the sky, floating on invisible wings, his spear pointing towards you.

Simultaneously the other one, under the surf, attempts to catch your legs and pull you under. Which succeeds at first.

Yasen Tal

Yasen coughs in the wet, choking air. First the Mana glaciers, and now this? This plane was getting to be more difficult than it was worth. Still, curiosity drives Yasen ever forwards. Having noticed beyond a shadow of a doubt that the plane is reacting to his usage of Mana, Yasen avoids using any more spells to solve his present predicament. Instead, he sends a mental command to the Griffon beneath him.

The majestic beast reacts immediately, diving quickly but shallowly until Yasen is well beneath the level of the clouds, out of their choking mist. He stays high above the ground, however, as he rockets towards the ever-closer mountains.

Mental communication with a Dimir summon required mana the same way that breathing required effort: Simply having the capacity was sufficient. The spirit made its way toward a vagrant passing by, shifting to possess the onlooker as Ket wished it. The plan was simple: The possessing spirit would observe the kithkin, while Ket observed the possessed vagrant. It would give her plenty of time to recover her mana, and a scapegoat for when she trailed the spirit as it trailed the kithkin to wherever he intended to be. These crackpot theorists came and went, it was a simple matter of disposing of the mastermind.

Ciaphas - Group 1

Ciaphas slips through the chaos, just another face in the crowd. The hurt, mugged and trampled people offend his sensibilities, but he does not stop to aid them. He has seen worse in his life, and he is too old and selfish to be the hero they deserve. Besides, though he contains multitudes of creatures and magics within him, he has never been a healer.

He stops for a moment and focuses on the lands he controls, drawing mana from the virgin snow-covered forests he had discovered back in Dominaria. It took only a thought, and he summons. A half-dozen Scryb sprites, tiny fairies the size of his palm and armed with needle lances, appears. They were native to the forests of Dominaria and other places. They were a minor summoning, but useful in their way.

He gestures, and the sprites fly upwards in formation, like a school of fish in the ocean, swiftly vanishing on their scouting mission. If there was indeed a trap here, perhaps his sprites would find it and warn him.

He heads straight toward the waterfront property where the sensation originates. Trap or not, his interest is peaked.

DMBlackhart
2010-08-03, 08:37 PM
Ciaphas Bertrem- Off go the sprites, through the chaotic streets. It seems, that in this state of pandemonium, there is little notice of someone of your claibur doing somethning as fantastical as summoning.

You head to the water ways, meeting your sprites about halfway. Through their own meens, they relay the information they had obtained. It seems that the waterfront is dead. Not in a metaphorical sense, but rather the literal. The area is so cleansed of mana and natural life that the sprites could not get a clear read on the area. They also report men at the waterfront, decrepid and also void of life. The undead walk, and they are gathering.

You come to the warf, hiding behind a corner in a dark alley. It was no lie. The mana in this area is weak, although not dead, you fear that casting even simple spells will be a trying task. Your sprites dissapate as you continue your observations. The undead crowed the docks, most walking down into the surf, while others simply shamble and moan. It seems, at the center of all tis chaos, is a man. And that man, garbed in a maroon cloak, waves his hands in the air maniacly. How is it, that in a place so weak in life and mana, even void of BLACK mana, that such a simple can can create such an army? Even though the horde of living death is small, they are more then a challenge for the soilders that could come and handle the issue.

What really catches your eye is the man. Or rather, what the summoner wears. A small onyx ring clutches his pale white finger. The artifact seems to be eminating powerfully. Much like the inverse of a storm. Where all the power is drained in the surronding chaos, this man is harnessing all varieties of mysticism and power in such a small place.

Chase-The gaurd above you continues to foat, holding his spear at your face. The other one does not yet move to constrict you, rather he to jumps into the air, staying perfectly aloft. A feat normally unheard of except by expert magicians. Such an ability from simple gaurds is, inhuman.

Your comming with us planeswalker. Our general has uses for you. Now you can come quietly, or we can let our boss pick up the pieces later.

Nissus Varifen- You come to the alleyway, only to find that the previously crumbled wall, still perfectly in ruin, and the men once trapped under to be missing. With no evidence of assailants, and a perfectly good structure damaged, the aven gaurds turn on you, faces cold with seriousness.

Come with us, we'll need to discuss this at headquarters. As of right now, your a criminal, and will be treated with all the respect the scum of ravnica deserve.

The aven men brandish spears and swords, and turn on your threatningly. Should you make a violent act, you'll no doubt incite a small panic.

Ketolani- The man's shouts of chaos and reward are stiffled. The man simply packs up, and heads off into the streets. Your spirit see's the nearest, weakest vagrent, and makes good use of the flesh puppet. You then follow your spirit possessed vagrent who follows the thrifty gentleman in the black cloak.

First along gnat alley, the filthiest and most dangerous part of ravnica's slums. This place is, dangerous, even for a planeswalker. The fact a simple vagrant manages to slip through unmolested is nothing but shocking.

Then you come to a warf. This area is wrong. All wrong. The entire location is lifeless, in both mana and physical life. In every corner of the warf a number of the living dead creep along, shambling mindlessly. A few however, seem to move with purpose. These few make their way into the depths of the artificial lake, dissapearing under the surf.

At the center of the warf, on the docks, is a simple man drapped entirely in a maroon cloak. The man seems to be the source of the undead which manifest from pure dark energy. The man himself wields terrible power. But with suchan absence of mana, this should be impossible.

However your eyes catch something interesting. Apon the man's right index finger is a thin, onyx metal band. The ring seems to be flowing with every radiance of mana, it's power is truely awe inspiring.

Yasen Tal- It seems the lands give you little reprieve. You've just out manuevered two deadly defenses, only to find a new kind of hell blocking your path. This land, whether truely alive, is no doubt trying to stunt your progress.

You fly low, but low enough to avoid any major obstacles. And yet, the rocks of the mountain's seem to have other plans. Every stone, even the tiniest boulder, comes to life, stacking in unnatural ways to form humanoid elementals. The monstrous mana-life beings grab other stones, creating a rain of larg boulders to shroud the sky.

Your eagle manages to keep out of the path for a little while, however halfway up the impossibly high structure the beast gives out. A part your own weariness, another part from damage. So much wear and tear forces the summon back to the aether, back as pure, rich mana.

You plummet into the mountain face, the impact would kill any normal man, but then again that just wasen't you.

You recover from your momentary detour, and notice as the land no longer reacts, no elemental fiends blocking your hike up the rest of the mountain.

Yasen Tal

Yasen is an experienced flier, but even he can't avoid avoid the boulders heaved at him indefinitely. As the boulders hurled by the Elementals eventually forcibly dismiss his Griffon, he falls slowly. Rather than risk further attention from the volatile Plane, Yasen curls into a ball and braces himself for impact.

Oh, this is going to suck.

Yasen slams into the hard ground of the mountain, grunting in pain as he impacts. He rolls, dispersing part of the force of the landing and relying on his enhanced Planeswalker body to survive. He stands unsteadily, then dusts himself off.

"Well. That wasn't so bad."

He continues on his path.

Yasen Tal- You'd like to think that the rest of the treck up he mountain was an easy one. You'd like to think that, but it was nothing short of trial by fire.

Fire, being used litterally of course. For not more then a couple hours into your climb, once night had fallen, you were elated to see faint lights in the distance. People, perhaps, hopefully friendly as well. So your treck continued.

However it only continued as such, until you got close enough to make out humanoid definition WITHIN the fire. Or rather, the fire itself was humanoid. The elementals turn towards you, at least thirty of them, each one featureless and bright. And then the fireballs came. A rain of burning hell flew through the night sky, illuminating your path, and threatning to engulf you, turning your body to ashes.

Chase- You follow the legionnares. They take you BACK along tin street, and through some alleyways. Ultimately you find yourself in the underbelly of ravnica. Widespread pandemonium has infested the district. Men, women, children, everyone is stampeding around, trying to find something, or go somewhere.

The legionnares march on, ignoring the hostile enviroment, escorting you to their destination. And indeed you are met with a strange occurance. The compound they lead you to is, queer.

The structure exists, but if you weren't actively trying to see it, you'd imagine you coulden't. Infact, the mana emminating from this quasi-sureal structure is increadibly overbearing. You cannot even recall how you found your way here.

Welcome to house dimir.
The gaurds say.

Nissus Varifen- You erase the gaurds memories before continuing on your way. However, as you turn your back on the confused gaurdsmans, you are halted by a singular call from the lot.

Halt! I said you are under arrest, now you will come with us or else!

Among the baffled gaurds, their leader reacts normally, as if his mind had never been touched. Their draw weapons, and advance on you slowly.

Yasen Tal

Yasen looks around at the massive, powerful elementals before him. He breathes in and out heavily, then interlaces his fingers and cracks his knuckles. He snaps his arms out to his sides, one curl-fingered hand glowing white, the other black. He readies his arsenal of magics, bringing a number of spells to mind that would help him with these enemies.

"Alright, big guys, lets do this."

The first danger to impact is the rain of fire coming from above. Yasen extends his right, white hand forward at it. A shining circle (http://www.kvdeckmasters.org/cards/9e/images/Circle_of_Protection_Red.jpg) of intricate red light appears around his feet, then projects a column of scarlet energy high into the sky around him as the flames reach him. When the fire fades, Yasen stands unharmed, the circle still glowing at his feet.

The first threat dealt with Yasen turns his attention to the charging Elementals. He thrusts his right hand skyward, summoning a massive, heavily armored figure (http://img.coolstuffinc.net/products/mtg%20art/onslaught/ironfist%20crusher.jpg). He points both palms at it, right fingers point to the sky, left fingers aiming at the ground.

"Holy Strength (http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/dragonballzcentral_2118_30574995)."
"Unholy Strength (http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/dragonballzcentral_2118_50374430)."

He lets both hands fall to his sides.

"Crush them."

As the empowered figure goes to work, smashing the Elementals apart with glowing sweeps of his flails, one manages to slip past and reach Yasen. As one burning fist screeches towards him, Yasen reengages his shield and blocks the blow. Then, he extends his left hand.

"Corrupt (http://www.coolstuffinc.com/images/Products/mtg%20art/Seventh/Corrupt.jpg)."

The elemental flails wildly for a few seconds, then explodes into several streams of black Mana, which fly into Yasen's hand and are absorbed. He sucks in breath as a rush of energy fills him, then sighs contentedly. Looking over, he sees that his warrior has finished with the Elementals. He smiles. Barring any further difficulties, Yasen dismisses his champion and enchantments, then continues down the path.

Chase instinctively lets his mind reach out and examines the mana patterns, like a tailor would examine a particularly fine piece of cloth. Chase- The gaurds lead you into the building, through a series of large hallways, and finally into a single, silent, rotund chamber. The lighting is poor, but not too dark, and the gaurds leave you here without explination.

Time passes, and still nothing occurs. It seems you'd be here even longer had you not worked up the courage to DO something. However it is something that would come to you instead. A man enters the chamber, a lithe, virulent and pale looking man. His skin is whiter then a star, and his eyes reder then blood!

The man isen't hiding the very obvious fact he is vampiric in nature. As to what the man wishes to accomplish, you're still unsure of.

Welcome, to house dimir chase. Yes, the non-existant house dimir, where assassin's and informant and spies are born. You have arrived a little ahead of shedule, though im afraid. As it stands, we cannot continue the ceremony without the others.

Ketolani- Your plan was all well and good, however you neglected one minor detail. The docks were void of most all mana. As you had felt before, using most types of spells would be near-impossible. This was proven too realistically when your possessed vagrant charged the man conjuring the undead. Not even a third of the way to the man the spirit is dispersed, sent back to the aether.

The vagrant however is not as simple as a spirit. The man continued to rush, still weary and dazed from the pre-possession. The man managed to get close enough to the man, when a small gaurd of undead had gotten in his way, tearing the poor nameless person to shreads.

You had fallen short, only so much so. The mass of undead made it difficult for you to keep perfect pass with the now desceased vagrant. You stood amidst a sea of rotting flesh and hungry souls. You were being targetted, lusted apon by those who would see your living form succulent and appetising.

Nissus Varifen- You are led along alleyway after alleyway. At one time you could have sworn you passed through gnat alley. One of the dirtiest, cruelest slums in all of ravnica.

Regardless you quickly find yourself in the depths of ravnica, near stacks of ruined housing and homeless beggers. You pass by, keeping pac with the avens whom dig spears into your back. In do time they lead you to a compound. An unorthodox place that reminds you much of the mirages of the hot evening sun. The building would, if not veiwed directly and concentrated on intently, dissapear from sight. If you were not activly aware of it, and had little reason to want to find the building, you probably could not.

Regardless, this is where you were taken. You were lead through hallway after hallway, down winding chambers, and finally into a lone room. The rotund chamber had within it a tall, gaunt, pale-fleshed man, obviously of vampiric origins. And nearest him was a simple, homely gentleman (Chase). They were conversing, about what you came in too late to know.

Yasen Tal- The battle was nothing short of pure marvel. The act of such power and magical force would astonish even the eldest dragon. Unfortunately, however, this act came at a price. You could feel it, as if your soul was trying to escape your body. It was the feeling a planeswalker got when they drained themselves of far too much mana. Your physical form became weak, and your spiritual form weaker.

Exhausted, your breathing unsteady, you continued your treck up the mountain, albeit at a slower pace. It seemd that now, it would take far too long to reach the top. And without proper rest, you may even die here.

Yasen Tal

Yasen breathes heavily as he treks even further up the mountain face. The draining spell he had cast had restored his body but not his mana, and he can feel the drain that his impressive display of magic had left on his body. He shudders to a halt, struggling to put one foot in front of the other.

Looks like I'm still not fully recovered from the battle with that Archmage last week...I can't go on like this. I need to rest, but...I need to know what's calling to me...and this Plane is so dangerous. Regardless, though, I need to rest.

He doesn't have much energy left, but Yasen is more than capable of casting another minor spell. Waving one hand, Yasen conjures an apparition (http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/cards/14976.jpg) of a human scout.

"Wake me if any potential threat gets within a mile of me."

The apparition nods and vanishes, off to its assigned duty. Yasen lays down on the ground, and goes to sleep. A quick nap should restore him to a functional energy level again...

'House Dimir, yes. I believe your guards mentioned that.'

Chase watches the man, a small flame dancing and lazy floating in circles around his hand.

'I believe you know anything and all there is to know about me then? If that is the case, then you are probably aware that I am both very curious and have a dangerously short attention span. Perhaps you could indulge and tell me what you want from me. Seems reasonable, no?

His voice starts relaxed and casual as he speaks, but grows more powerful and annoyed as he speaks. The last sentence is spoken with an almost fake cheeriness, however.

Nissus Varifen & Chase- You both huddle into the small chamber, avoiding the disturbing aura that emminates from the vampiric lord of house dimir.

Unfortunately, it seems our last few guests have yet to arrive. But until then I will enlighten you a little as to our intentions. It's very true I know much about both of you, despite your time spent in our fair plane. I also know of your abilities, and this is what intrigues me most. Most who would seek other worlds must act through rituals and portals, which are costly and time consuming. However you both can travel seemlessly through the aether, and reach out to other planes.

The unnamed vampire turns, his arms folded behind his back.

I want this power. I will pay anything for you to bestow this gift apon me. All of house dimir's reasources are at your beck and call. And.... Should you refuse, you my end up like the others...

Ciaphas - Group 1

Ciaphas paced, safely outside the mob of undead. They concerned him only peripherally. He had encountered the restless dead before; they were strong compared to a normal man, but he had monsters within him that could tear them to shreds as they had done that unfortunate man.

No, what concerned him far more was the area of almost dead magic. He had never encountered its like. And yet, in a place devoid of even black magic, this man in the maroon robes was conjuring a small army. It had to be the ring. Could it be a powerful artifact of the Brothers', or even ancient Thrann? Or did this world have its own legendary names, as artificers go?

He was no great shakes at physical combat. Certainly not enough to see off a legion of zombies. He had his magics for that.

He thought he might be able to force small magics through the null magic area, if he tried hard enough; a Shatter, perhaps, to destroy the ring. But he did not want it destroyed. He wanted such a treasure for his own, to study and make use of.

But how to do it... that was the trick... he would wait, and watch, and hope for an opportunity. He was not the sort of man to put himself at risk when there were other options. If the man left the area of dead magic, or some other chance occured, then he would strike.

((OOC: No better ideas at the moment, so just reminding everyone that I'm back, and posting.))

I would have to agree with Chase on this matter. It would be best if we knew what we were getting ourselves into before jumping in.

OOCSorry for not posting and disappearing all of sudden, got a problem or two at school,by the way,it's FENIX not FEONIX ¬¬'

Takes an amusing smile as he watches the scene happen.Apparently the creature could as a matter of fact read minds. While keeping away from their sight,he lets some black mana flow around, shielding his mind against further reading

"I wonder if it's working" he thinks, then changes back to get into the conversation

I am Fenix.Fenix Godoy.Pretty cool magic you have

"Let's go." she giggled, before, flying up.

Nissus & Chase- Your vampiric's host cold, yet welcoming spirits seem to fade. His very aura chilling, both of your hearts skip a beat.

Fine, I must summon my ward however. He was off on buissness... recruiting likely candidates. Seems as that is no longer a matter of issue however, we may get started sooner.

The man claps his hands, and whispers some words you could not hear. After which a man appears from within the doorway. The man is stout, a type reserved for the adventurous. The pale flesh on the man matches his spectral black robes and pointed hood. His eyes are cold, and empty, his hands gnarled, and his back arched.

Clothos, prepare the ceremony. Two is better then none, I suppose.

The hunched servent moves away with obvious sluggish speed. When he is out of ear shot, and sight, your vampiric host continues.

Fine, we shall cut to the chase then. But while I explain myself, perhaps you'd both care for a bit of supper? No use mulling it over on an empty stomach after all.

The host leads the way, if you follow.

Yasen & Fenix & Secret- The three of you take to the sky. Your journy are the heavens, the peak of the tallest, and surprisingly only, mountain within this plane. The call rings out, more powerful then ever, as you close on the summit. The apparent "attacks" yasen said to suffer seem non-existant.

After a half hour of strenious flight your little trio lands at the peak, far above the clouds below. You land at the mouth of a cavern, it's gaping maw seems to fall offward, deep into darkness, where no light carries.

Whatever powers this plane may possess now seem dorment. And although nightfall closes in once more, now seems as good a time as any to press into the dank darkness that looms in the path. The call pressures you, enticing you to come closer, deeper. Whatever your searching for, it's here, further inward, into the abyss.

"Okay." said Secret in amazement. "That's awesome."

She tried to form a globe of White mana, firing a bolt of light into the pit, hoping the powerful discharge of sun-mana would light it a little.

W, Instant (Might be a sorcery...): Sunlance. 3 damage to a creature. Let's hope my rash action doesn't annoy something...

Yasen Tal

Yasen dismisses his griffon and approaches the edge of the cave warily, his experience as a treasure hunter making him careful. He prepares to proceed in his standard way, moving slowly and not making any sudden movements. This is promptly made impossible by Secret's unusual light source. He turns to look at her sourly.

"Subtle."

As Fenix gets out of the clouds and lands at the peak he takes a slight look at the horizon and again finds himfself in awe by that plane. The clouds swirling like mist around the tall peaks of mountains,he couldn't see very well but some looked covered in snow.A sight that most mortals would probably find near impossible to even imagine even if described by the best storyteller for that many words were non-existente

"Beautiful..." he says in a a low tone

But then again, the call comes back, this time even stronger, even hurting. He puts his hands on the head, closes his eyes and turn, taking a look at the cave as Secret shot light

"An approach as good as any,I guess.I think right now I would rather do the same. This voice is driving me mad"

(Oh yeah, sorry for taking your job over and ending up describing partially the landscape)

'Yeah, I wouldn't mind a meal either.' Chase curiously follows their host, trying to take note of the route. When the meal arrives, he hesitantly waits to eat until either Nissus or their host has done so.

Yasen, Fenix, Secret- The spear of light penatrates into the cavern, it's intense heat and illumination showing all angles of the cave. Unfortunately, it seems there is much more to it then you had hoped. The cavern stretches inward, increadibly so. The light dissapates after a few seconds, however in the time it had traveled the cave, you were able to make out at LEAST a half mile of depth, if not more.

Once more the world reacts to the discharge of mana. A violent humming whells up from within the cave, and a new light is emitted. The light is faint, however you can feel the heat from here. Erupting from within the cavern is a jet of fire, wide as the cavern, and hot enough to melt bone!

Nissus, Chase- The walk is short, and you learn little of your surrondings. The building itself is vastly under decorated. With little more then the occasional statuette or painting.
Shortly after your walk from the prison, you are led to a dining hall. It is so far the most beautiful part of the complex. The chairs are all perfectly crafted, expertly varnished deep cyprus. The table is made similarly, where the floor and walls are all engraved marble. The table settings are silver and gold, possibly solid, and the food is expertly prepared. Everything has a sort of aura about it. An aura that speaks of perfection, and eloquence.

Your vampiric host is the first to sit, motioning for you both to follow. The three of you sit there, for a tense moment, nobody daring to sample the food. And then the vampiric leader digs in, keeping grace with every bite, watching, expecting the both of you to do the same.

Yasen shoots Secret another sour glance.

Yasen, Fenix, Secret- I was going to wait till fenix's player posted, but since you guys are getting a little caught up in this.. side gag, I will post now.

The fire erupts from within the cave, drawing to the mouth within seconds. In this time, yasen once more conjures his protection from red mana. This works, for a time, however the spell seems to weaken from subsequent castings. Although the damage was nothing more then cosmetic, a few singes and scuffs.

Secrets blast of mana serves to help placate most of the inferno, lessening the damage the group takes.

Finally fenix manages to shield himself as well, only suffering cosmetic damage as well.

Secret yelped, instinctively channeling more white mana to heal the damage she had taken.

Yasen ignores the light burns he receives from the inferno; he's dealt with far worse wounds under far worse conditions. Of more concern was the weakening of his spell; the Circles of Protection were normally inviolate, as long as enough mana was put into them. He dismisses it with some trepidation.

Wonderful. Now the plane is messing with my spells, too?

Walking forward, Yasen takes point at the head of the group and withdraws a small glass orb from one of his pockets. Speaking a command word, he causes it to flare to life with internal light, illuminating the cavern for a good distance. He continues onward.

"Come on, let's go."

Yasen, Fenix, Secret- The three of you press onward into the cavern, the thick hot odor of the cave unbearable. Ignoring the putrid stench however, you advance further, the cave floor quickly becomming damp as you move further and further in.

Not more then five minutes in, well after the entrance has dissapeared from sight, you can hear a faint humming. You cannot tell where it originates from, as the cave echo's vastly the further in you go. After a short while you find that your orb of light fails you. Leaving you all in utter darkness.

Next you hear the sound of skittering. Tiny things, thousands of them, perhaps millions, moving, creeping, and crawling along the cave. At first you were slightly confused by what could make such a noise, until you felt it. thousands apon thousands of tiny spiders. They rush past your feet, the vibrations of so many tiny soilders felt even through your boots. The arachnid army seems to ignore you, moving through the cave with speed and determination. The worry of whatever rested in the cave had past, only to be replaced with a new fear.

A low, sinister humm emminating alot closer this time. Like the humms in he background, this one was thick, and heavy, like a war siren. However this one could be heard much closer, at least less then one hundread yards ahead of you.

Fenix takes his hand to cover his ears,or at least attempt to.He didn't like the combination of that humm combined with the eerie voice of the call. And in the mess of the sounds, his thoughts sounded like a whisper to him only

"I heard undead screams who were better than this.I can't focus on any high-levle magic I think

Reacting on instinct Fenix raises his hands pointing towards the cave and lets black mana flow from his body to his hand, preparing to cast an attack spell

"No wait! This might trigger another one of those fire streams"

Quickly holding the magic he was about to unleash,he focus more and lets the mana go back to his body.Cursing in low voice. Those things were really messing up with him
