"You can't tell me what to do - I'm Snooki," she yelled at officers, according to witnesses. "Do you know who I am? I'm f------ Snooki. You can't do this to me. I'm f------ Snooki. You guys are going to be sorry for this. Release me!"

Lol. When you start saying that, it's over. Course, it was over before it got started for these folks. But still.

I can't help but feel stunned that someone actually said that while being arrested. It always seemed like something that would be on kid's cartoons when they were sending a bank robber to jail, so it sounds unreal and kinda corny. But it turns out people actually say that, word for word. Surreal.

That's what makes it hilarious, the absurdity of it all.

I can safely cross this off of my "Top 100 threads I never thought I would see on Giant In the Playground" list.

I can't say I really care either way. It did make me smile when I read that quote though. Thanks for that.

I can only imagine a group of very confused officers with only one word on their tongues. "Who?"

Jeez, and this is news?

Well, hopefully this will get everyone at school to shut up about her.

..Wait, what am I saying?

Lol, you thought it was bad before! People love to talk about screw-up celebs even more than normal ones.

*edit As an aside..."snookie?" WTF?

Exactly. Except that this time it may actually be entertaining. Too bad nobody at school understands when I'm snarking...

Jersey Shore goes a long way toward explaining why New Jersey doesn't let people pump their own gas.

I have that same problem, no one ever knows when i'm being snarky or sarcastic. It helps to switch your vocabulary up from sarcastic to non-sarcastic. Doesn't help with strangers but people who get to know you learn the difference based on how it's worded. Talking in other than a monotine probably helps, but i'm not willing to do that :smallamused:

Uh, often the problem is that absolutely nobody gets my references. :smallannoyed:

I thought they did that so they could make money selling really lame t-shirts (http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.manwhole.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/new_jersey_we_dont_pump_our_gas_tshirt-p235592595109104273q6hp_400.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.manwhole.com/the-night-i-got-good-will-hunted/&usg=__YYStHCMYP9sY-mvAu8HPrWF1Tkk=&h=400&w=400&sz=27&hl=en&start=0&sig2=9tcVYYGW6wAaIe-lz-SZXg&tbnid=5KZjMpUKXB5PgM:&tbnh=162&tbnw=162&ei=pending&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dnew%2Bjersey%2Bgas%2Bt-shirts%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D1201%26bih%3D566%26gbv%3D 2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=312&vpy=180&dur=911&hovh=225&hovw=225&tx=171&ty=110&page=1&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0).

For the record, I know quite a few people from NJ who are perfectly sane, intelligent, friendly folk.

Well yeah, but they're not likely to show up on Jersey Shore, are they?

I wonder if a comment about this will show up on John McCain's twitter page?

Comedians everywhere are crying tears of joy right now.

You realize it's giving them attention like this that causes these people to think they can act this way. And they can. Because we're giving them all this attention for it.

This is my response. Only people I know of from Jersey are Coop, Keeva and Jamie.

Never said it was better. And the only attention they get me from me is, "Wow, you're a censored unprintable idiot."

Never heard of Jersey Shore. Having just Wikipediaed it, have even less idea why she should consider herself something important for having appeared in a reality TV show. Yeah, you and about 50 million other people at last count...

Aha, reality TV show, thanks.

Not a very flattering picture btw (in the article by OP)

That shouldn't be surprising; as Dan O'Brien famously said (http://www.cracked.com/blog/jersey-shore-is-the-worst-thing-to-happen-to-the-east-coast-since-911/), Snooki is a cross between a goblin and another goblin.

I have found a new website to read from first to last

She’s unhappy because she’s used to being liked, which doesn’t sound at all possible in any realm, Middle Earth or otherwise.

is just fabulous

also: I actually think I watched three minutes of this show on MTV, then gave up

My dad was reading the news and asked me if i knew who Snooki was. I believe my response was, "Gazoontite."

Thanks, guys. I just read DOB's article on Jersey Shore, & now I must spread my knowledge to pass on this curse, lest it strike me down. Somebody is doomed, it might just be me, & it's all your fault.
