Hi,

I am just starting a gestalt game of DnD 3.5.

I am thinking of playing a Tome Dragon/Wizard.

I was also pretty certain that if I took the Multiheaded template and some feat that I could end up casting more than one spell per round but I cannot find the feat that I need to do this.

Does this combo sound good? We would be playing at level 10.

A tome dragon? I'm not familiar with that particular class/race. Pointing out where that's from would help.

Tome Dragon is in a Dragon Magazine Creature Collection issue. They pretty much boil down to being physically weaker, but having specialist benefits, etc. for spellcasting.

I believe the feat you are looking for is Multivoice, which is also in Savage Species. I don't recall for sure, seeing as I don't have access to that particular book at this moment, but I think that is correct.

Tome Dragon is in Dragon #343.

Multivoice is indeed the feat I was thinking of.

So would this be worth it in terms of a character or would this be gimped?

Tome Dragon would give some useful abilities for spell castings (Free Metamagic for example) as well as decent bonuses to Int, Wis and Cha. Decent saves and flight.

Two Heads would allow me to cast two spells per round which has lots of potential.

By taking classes in Wizard I could use the Sorcerer aspect of the Tome Dragon for defense/offense spells whilst using the Wizard for utility and one offs.

Only thing conceptually is how does a tiny wyrmling dragon carry around hefty spellbooks.

Plus Multi-voice has several pre-req's...

Dex 15
Int 15
Improved Two-weapon fighting
Multiattack
Quicken Spell
Two Weapon fighting

However if I am correct being Multiheaded gives you SUperior Two-weapon fighting so this supercedes both Two weapon and Improved two weapon.

Dex 15 and Int 15 shouldn't be too hard to get with dragon stats. And Quicken Spell is always useful as a metamagic feat.

Multiattack is the only feat I would need to take to qualify, though reading the Multiheaded template I get Improved Multiattack as well.

So is this all worth it?

Or do I just be dull and uninventive and go for a gestalt Divine/Arcane?

The other player is going for a melee monster so I have to cover the magic side of things. And we are starting at level 10.

I wonder if I can convince the GM to allow me to gestalt 3... Tome Dragon, Wizard, Warlock.

Well, if you have complete mage I think it is, there's the eldritch theurge. Advance wizard casting and Warlock invocations for 10 levels.
