Looking at a new laptop battery

Heyo, as the title states, I'm looking to get a new battery for my HP Pavillion DV 6, and I'm really unsure as to what exactly I should be looking for, so any help would be muchly appreciated!

I'm basically just looking for longer battery life, seeing as I'm not sure what else one actually looks for in a battery, heh

Batteries are specific to a particular laptop and can't usually be upgraded. It's possible some third party manufacturer does a larger battery for your Pavilion, but I wouldn't hold your breath on that one.

I wouldn't feel the need to have to get an HP battery to replace your old one. I went and got a Rayovac laptop battery for my old one (HP Pavillion dv6000), and it worked just fine.

eBay. Just make sure you get one that comes with a 3+ Mo. warranty (preferably 6 Mo. or a year). I had one fail on me days after the warranty expired.
