So here I am, taking my first tottering steps into the world of freelance writing with Frozen Empires: Glories of the North (http://www.koboldquarterly.com/k/front-page5640.php) (another preview here (http://www.koboldquarterly.com/k/front-page6239.php)), a suppliment for Norse and arctic adventures in any world: Golarion fans should find it perfect for enhancing adventures set in the Land of the Linnorm Kings or the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, but it’s also ideal for adding detail to the north of Faerun or Oerth's barbarous Telchuria or the Hold of Stonefist. We’re also throwing in gazetteers of three flavourful lands you can 'cut and paste' into your own game world: The viking fjords of Trollheim, Thule: The Last Continent, and the hidden valley of Hyperborea – all created from the fevered imaginations of patrons: its a genuinely communal project, but with all the benefits of a major publisher's backing (in this case, Wolfgang Baur).

I am, as the saying goes, "living the dream"

Since I've seen so much great homebrewing work on this site, and that's just how I started out (although on a different site (http://www.planewalker.com/)), I just wanted to say hi! to all the creative Playgrounders out there and encourage any other budding writers to "go for it" wherever they can... not just by joining my project or one of the others available from the publishers of Kobold Quarterly (http://www.koboldquarterly.com/), but here in the playground, in Paizo's RPG Superstar, or by submitting to another gaming magazine.

Keep on rolling,
Dan

Hi Dan! Finally made it over huh?

I'm a patron already so you're preaching to the converted here.
